Because of this, it is difficult for mobile air defense groups and interceptor UAVs to shoot them down, which is why Ukraine increasingly has to spend scarce missiles for air defense systems. Jet drones make up a smaller proportion of Russian attacks so far, but their number is growing rapidly. 🇺🇸🚢 The US Coast Guard has ordered six icebreakers to "strengthen its position in the Arctic". The total value of the contracts is $3.3 billion. But the price is irrelevant, as dollars are printed depending on the availability of electricity to power the printing press, rather than the amount of gold in the country’s treasury. The first vessel is expected to be delivered in 2028, with the remainder due by 2031. Trump has previously emphasised on several occasions that the US lags significantly behind Russia in terms of its icebreaker fleet: it currently has only one operational icebreaker, the Polar Star, whilst Russia has more than 40.
