When you lose someone who you cherish above all else, be it in life or death, you don't just mourn losing them, but the conversations you had and will not have, the arguments you'll never fix, the future you'll never know, and the part of you they took with them.
Keep this in mind while they're still here, and I guarantee that you'll save yourself a type of regret that will eat you up for the rest of your days.

| 4 |  Across Britain, a great many cobbled roads still exist beneath the tarmac/asphalt. Rather than digging up expensive and heavy stone foundations, local authorities in the 20th century often poured asphalt directly over the top. As you can see, it hasn't ruined the cobbled paths, but it's instead protected them. I see this from London to Manchester as my eye has trained itself to notice these things over the years.
This example, which also sits beside an old "coal hole" (which was widely used during the Georgian and Victorian eras to allow fuel deliveries directly into basement cellars without entering the main house) is on Derbyshire Street, directly outside the Kings Arms Pub in Bethnal Green.
I can almost hear the horses, footfall, and voices that still haunt the area.
In many places, the old cobbles were left exposed while the main body of the road was covered. I'll get an example or two and do a follow-up post in time. Keep your eye out and maybe even share this post to help others do the same. | 421 |

| 7 | Equity > Equality
As I have said in the past, people, especially women, do not want equality. What they want is equity.
Equality implies that a pregnant woman or a disabled person has to carry bricks up a ladder, while equity means that we cater to each person's specific physical or mental needs.
To create good men, there must be a protective stance towards women. I certainly don't expect ladies to work in graveyards, North Sea shipping routes, as Roofers/ structural Ironworkers, on offshore Oil/Gas rigs, suffer warfare scenarios, and much more. In truth, the majority do not want to either.
This concept also applies to men who think that they deserve something simply because they exist. Not because they're capable or they've earned it. It's important to have a basic meritocracy. If we allow anyone to do anything instead of it being based on capability, character, and merit, society suffers as a whole.
Thus, the world we know today.
Even voting shouldn't be freely available if one isn't well studied on historical and political matters.
When a woman understands this concept, I personally have no problem with her being bossy or taking a leading role now and then because I'm comfortable enough within myself to enjoy seeing her feel respected and have what she wants.
The more she understands nature, the more she deserves to rule the roost.
In the same breath, women do things that men can not and deserve to be protected. Not only for the softness they offer us but the obvious fact that they deliver new life into the world. We want them to feel as young as possible for as long as possible. Not stress them into a state of depression and anxiety.
If this concept was applied to the nation, the women who've been damaged by the propaganda of "equality" would have instead strengthened the men that they've otherwise hurt.
It's easy for us to blame women for being overtly "progressive" or cold, but, in truth, like the destruction of manhood, the system has done this to them.
This concept also applies to people suffering from physical and mental difficulties. We're not offering them equality by saying that they have it whilst still offering them equity. All that does is undermine the kindness shown by making much needed allowances.
Equality, as it is sold, is a very nefarious ideal that is disguised in a cloak of fairness in order to hide its falsehood. While equity is to embrace reality and kindness.
Equity teaches us to carry heavy objects for the elderly and to care for those who need it.

The next time someone says that they want or demand equality, ask them if what they really mean is equity. More often than not, they'll not have contextualized this, or, in many cases, know how to respond. | 222 |

Today, we still see beautiful gardens, but not like we would have in previous decades. This doesn't ony highlight the importance of a family home, but the importance of being at one with nature. 🍃 | 721 |
