I have a close friend who works with computers for a living. He builds them as a hobby for fun too, mostly for gaming. I asked him about the Secure Boot video I came across. He said he's aware of it and asked me which computers I'm running. It turns out my computers are so old, they don't use Secure Boot. So I don't have to worry about the problem. He seemed more concerned with the fact that I still have Windows 10. Even though my PC is a dual boot computer, I only use Windows for certain things. He said it's still a big concern. So I'll be building a hone server and adding some layers of protection, despite using Linux most of the time. So, if you're like me and you have ancient equipment, you might not have to worry about the secure boot issue.
This is my final submission for the No Agenda End of Show Mixes. It's hard to compete with the AI mixes they play. I am merely a percussionist, with a few microphones and a computer.
Do you have a dual boot desktop, using Linux as your main OS? You might want to watch this video.

Started watching for a few mins and an hour later I am still listening.

Repost from Praying Medic News
A second wave of Iranian ballistic missiles have been launched toward Israel, early warnings issued for the Jerusalem, Be'er Sheva, and Tel Aviv areas.

Also, it was reported that Iran attacked Israel and now it looks like Israel has retaliated. This will jeopardize peace talks in the region, just as gas prices are beginning to fall.
I have a couple different wheelhouses. Geology is one of them. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Geology so when the earth shakes and spits out lava, it grabs my attention. My fiancé is also from this region of the world. That also grabs my attention. I've learned that this area of Earth is one of the MOST active and geologically interesting. The Marianas Trench is not far from the Philippines. This is the Deepest of deep ocean. Nobody has been to the bottom (that we know of) and ever since I was a young boy, I've found it intriguing. And SCARY!! HAHA
I wonder how many missing planes have been swept to the bottom of that trench by ocean currents.🤔
I bet I could write a scary movie about that. Anyways, I just wanted to share this because some of you may not know these things about me or why you're seeing these posts in your feed. I've been thinking for awhile about sharing more about myself so some of you can get to know me a little better and why I created this channel. One of the things I can share right now is that I started the Sonoran Signals podcast with my real life friend, Mike. Between the two of us, we have a knowledge base that I believe many can learn from. As two members from Generation X, we also have interesting perspectives. I say this from a place that is humble. We don't know everything and don't claim to but Mike and I in particular were born at a time at the end of Gen X that gives us a VERY unique perspective. We have boomer parents. We have Gen Z kids and Millennial siblings and coworkers. We remember the Atari as the first video game console, dial up internet and now we live in the age of AI.
There are kids who don't know what it's like to have a cordless phone and no cell phone and mainframe dial up computers. It puts us in a unique position to bridge the generations before and after us. So if you want a mix of local AZ information, prep talk, tech talk and everything in between, then check out the podcast. I'll post episodes here and in the Sonoran Signals Telegram Channel.
I am watching live footage of earthquake damage on this channel. I don't know anything about the channel or the locations they are showing.

So there's been some substantial damage in General Santos City.
https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/2242319/magnitude-7-quake-sends-students-workers-fleeing-in-parts-of-mindanao
I'll look to see of there's any damage or casualties in General Santos City. If there's anything notable I'll post it. I will also be tracking any movement along the plate boundary to the north in the future. Even a moderately sized quake in Manila will cause substantial damage. So hopefully that doesn't happen.
As some of you may know, there was a large earthquake in Mindanao, Philippines. I'll link a Dutchsinse video below.
Mindanao is in the South. It is the second largest island next to Luzon to the north, where Manila is located. The closet volcano is Balut and there have been earthquakes recently under the volcano. Davao City is located north of the epicenter.
There was a tsunami warning issued, following the earthquake. There have been strong aftershocks.
Here's the Dutchsinse video.

The Arizona HF Emergency Net is held every Sunday at 5PM (AZ Time) on the frequency of 7.275 MHz. All operators are welcome especially in AZ but in areas surrounding AZ too.

A relative just informed me that their power is out and that it will be off for the next two hours. Fortunately, this family member has backup power.
Since the temps here in the desert reached 107°F today, I speculate that the demand on the electrical grid caused a transformer to blow somewhere. It's definitely a localized outage, but regardless, this is why prepping is handy. I look at incidents such as these as opportunities to test and use preps.

Fox 10 is reporting that water releases and drought killed all the fish in San Carlos Lake. I am not buying it.

Has anyone heard of Scammer Payback?
Scammer Payback first caught my attention on another social media platform. I then looked for their videos on YouTube (I know, I know, evil YouTube....) and the amount of information I learned from watching this channel is astounding. They catch scammers in the middle of victimizing people and turn the tables. They lure scammers into traps, pretending to be someone and then make the scammers regret doing what they're doing. They also collect donations from private donors to help victims.
They also educate viewers about the scams going on. In some cases, they are able to get people arrested and prosecuted, even overseas.
There's a scam where a potential victim receives an email claiming to be Amazon or Norton. The person calls the number and from that moment on, the scammers have them. Everything looks official, but it is not. Beware of these scams. Beware of phishing emails.
For more information, visit YouTube and search for scammer payback. You'll find Perogi and his team and hours of educational videos to learn from.
Putting God First in everything has improved my life. Here's my latest article.

Is anyone running an older version of Windows on their PC at home? I have been told by two friends in the "tech industry" that it's risky to connect to the internet with a PC that has older versions of Windows. They said, "there are AI programs that scan the web for computers with vulnerabilities, such as older Windows operating systems." Once they find one, they can get in and do whatever they want. If you have a computer that has Windows, you're already at risk because Windows spies on users. However, if you're using older versions, you're at risk too.
I just wanted to pass this information along to anyone who can use it and encourage them to either disconnect their ethernet cable when it's not in use or to ditch windows entirely and get Linux. Linux is so much better in so many ways. I won't get into that right bow though. Just be aware of the dangers of using windows and adjust accordingly.
