James Li:
I dug into the Epstein network behind Ed Sheeran:
🗣 Ed’s played at Robert Kraft’s wedding (who orchestrated Macklemore’s firing)
🗣 Kraft hired Epstein’s lawyer, who got his solicitation charges dropped
🗣 Ed’s manager flew on Epstein’s plane, and friends with Bibi (with Kraft)

It was the only way they could stop me.

| 9 | Reps. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) announced Thursday they've secured commitments for the 218 signatures needed to force another vote the release of files related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Answers about the disgraced financier and his web of wealthy connections have continued to haunt the administration, with Attorney General Todd Blanche now facing the threat of contempt proceedings over the Epstein files.
This is the bipartisan duo's second push in less than a year after they forced their first Epstein transparency bill through Congress, which the president signed after initially opposing the effort.
"Thomas Massie and I have defied history for a second time," Khanna said in a video posted to social media late Thursday afternoon.
His post read that the pair had secured commitments for 218 votes on their discharge petition, including from three Republicans: Reps. Ralph Norman (R-S.C), Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.).
Two Democrats were sick, he added, but will sign the day the House returns. Massie also posted that he and his partner across the aisle would have enough names once lawmakers are back from a lengthy recess.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) dumped fuel on the fire blazing between him and Massie by again sending the House home early this week, Axios' Kate Santaliz reports.
The more than six-week recess will also delay Massie's effort to force a vote on impeaching Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

| 11 | The House on Wednesday unanimously agreed to hold the billionaire investor Leon Black in criminal contempt of Congress after he refused to appear for a deposition and turn over documents to a key panel investigating the disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The citation, agreed to without a recorded vote, amounts to an official recommendation that the Justice Department bring federal charges against Mr. Black.
It may serve to refocus public attention on the Trump administration’s handling of investigative material related to Mr. Epstein just as lawmakers depart Washington for a final spate of campaigning before the midterm congressional elections.
While President Trump has labored to avoid discussing the Epstein matter and excoriated those clamoring for more transparency, Republicans in Congress have tried to show they take the case, which has generated outrage among their core supporters, seriously.
The House Oversight Committee issued subpoenas to Mr. Black in June, after he refused to answer questions about nondisclosure agreements that he had signed with women, some of whom had been linked to Mr. Epstein.
The panel demanded that he appear for a deposition and provide copies of any nondisclosure agreements he might have entered into.
Mr. Black refused to comply and instead sued the committee, accusing it of exceeding its authority.
The committee on Tuesday unanimously recommended holding Mr. Black in contempt. Representative James R. Comer, Republican of Kentucky and the panel’s chairman, accused him of using the lawsuit as cover.
“Mr. Black is hiding behind litigation to delay having to provide answers to the American people,” he said on Tuesday.
“No one is above the law. Mr. Black will be treated the same as anyone else in this investigation, and his actions have consequences.”
Representative Robert Garcia of California, the top Democrat on the committee, said in an interview that Mr. Black had clearly violated two subpoenas.

| 12 | Thomas Massie just went scorched Earth on the House floor.
He’s demanding mass prosecutions.
“The co-conspirators of Jeffrey Epstein.”
“The rapists.”
“The pedophiles.”
“The ones who financed it.”
“The ones who covered it up.”
And his second Epstein files bill would give state attorneys general the power to finally “prosecute these crimes.”
No matter what Trump’s DOJ says.
“I’ve talked to the attorney general of New Mexico.”
“There are crimes that occurred at Zorro Ranch for which there is no statute of limitations.”
“We can still bring these pedophiles to justice.”

| 13 | Reporter: Are considering a motion to vacate Speaker Johnson?
Massie: Speaker Johnson has vacated Congress.
Like, I don’t need to vacate Speaker Johnson.
He would just probably call off more days. We had the Epstein recess last year. We got the Epstein recess this year, and then we got the Hegseth day off.
The president said we have too many holidays. Well, tomorrow it’s a Hegseth holiday for Congress.

Did Casey Wassermen @LA26 (@edsheeran‘s talent agency boss) go on a trip with Epstein, Maxwell, Clinton and Kevin Spacey and others? (Who else?)
👍.
In September 2002, Casey Wasserman and his then-wife flew on Epstein’s plane for a Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS trip to Africa. Passengers included Epstein, Maxwell, Clinton, Kevin Spacey, Chris Tucker, Ron Burkle, Rodney Slater, aides and four young women aged 20-22.
Wasserman has confirmed the trip and said he had no personal or business relationship with Epstein.

| 19 | The House Oversight Committee voted Tuesday to recommend the full House find billionaire Leon Black in contempt of Congress over his refusal to comply with subpoenas related to its probe into the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The bipartisan vote was unanimous, 41-0.
Black, a private equity investor who had a business relationship with Epstein, voluntarily sat for a closed-door transcribed interview with the Republican-led committee in late June but left before it was over, after lawmakers complained he wasn’t answering their questions. As a result, they issued subpoenas for him to turn over more information.
He didn’t show up for a later deposition the committee scheduled and sued it, seeking to block the subpoenas for his appearance and nondisclosure agreements tied to Epstein.
Attorneys for Black called the committee’s action a “complete abomination” in a statement ahead of the vote called by Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., the committee chair.
“This is retaliation — plain and simple,” the attorneys, Susan Estrich and Aaron Cutler, wrote. “We have the constitutional right to sue Chairman Comer and the Committee because the subpoenas issued were illegitimate, illegal and a textbook abuse of power designed to bully and destroy legal protections of private citizens.”
