THE US HOUSING MARKET AND GOLD, A CONNECTION MANY TRADERS OVERLOOK
Hello everyone, When discussing economic data that impacts gold, most traders focus on CPI, Nonfarm Payrolls, or Federal Reserve meetings. However, Henry believes there is another important area that many traders overlook: the US Housing Market.
At first glance, real estate and gold seem unrelated. In reality, both are heavily influenced by interest rates. When housing activity weakens over several months, it may signal a slowing economy. This increases the likelihood that the Federal Reserve will eventually ease monetary policy or cut interest rates, creating a supportive environment for gold prices.
On the other hand, strong home sales and construction activity often suggest that the economy remains resilient. This gives the Fed more reason to maintain tighter monetary policy, which can place pressure on gold.
Henry pays close attention to Housing Starts, Building Permits, and Existing Home Sales because they provide valuable insight into the health of the economy through consumer demand and credit conditions. While these reports rarely create immediate volatility like CPI or Nonfarm Payrolls, their long-term trends often provide important clues about economic direction and future interest rate expectations.

As price retraces into the 4055–4057 demand zone, Henry believes sell-side liquidity below the short-term structure may have already been collected. While many traders may view the decline as a sign of growing bearish pressure, this area could provide favorable conditions for smart money accumulation. Markets often move below obvious lows to capture liquidity before resuming their intended direction. Rather than buying immediately, Henry waits for clear price action confirmation showing buyer strength and a bullish reclaim of control. If buyers successfully defend the zone, a continuation toward higher targets may develop. The scenario becomes invalid if price breaks and holds below 4048. | 3 |

XAUUSD H4 | SMART MONEY FOLLOWS LIQUIDITY, NOT EMOTIONS
Gold is currently trading around 4049, holding above the key H4 Support Zone after rejecting the recent liquidity sweep near 3960. The overall market structure remains corrective within a broader range, while price is attempting to reclaim equilibrium after bouncing from the institutional demand area. Based on the current chart, Smart Money appears to be accumulating positions near support, while liquidity is concentrated above 4105 and toward the major Supply Zone near 4187. Traders should remain patient and execute only after confirmation at key premium and discount zones.
🟢 BUY ZONE: 3960 – 3955

This Buy Zone is positioned inside the major H4 institutional Support Zone, where strong demand previously entered the market. A successful defense of this zone could trigger a recovery toward the H4 Resistance Zone and the upper liquidity pool near 4105.

This Sell Zone aligns with the H4 Supply Zone and institutional Resistance, where buy-side liquidity is expected to accumulate above recent highs. 📌 Trading Insight
The H4 market structure remains neutral-to-bullish while price continues respecting the institutional Support Zone around 3960. The key level to monitor is 4060, as a sustained break above this resistance could open the path toward 4105 and potentially the higher Supply Zone near 4187. Conversely, failure to hold above 4000 would expose Gold to another liquidity sweep into the deeper demand area around 3960 before buyers re-enter.
Professional traders do not predict the market; they react to liquidity and confirmation. Today's focus should remain on buying only after bullish confirmation within the 3960–3955 discount zone, or selling only after bearish confirmation inside the 4187–4183 premium zone. Before the release, Henry expects markets to remain cautious as traders look for clues about the health of the U.S. labor market. If ADP comes in weak or below expectations, it could reinforce the view that employment conditions are cooling, potentially weighing on the USD and supporting Gold.
