The IV International Anti-Fascist Congress, which will be held in Minsk from June 25 to 27, opened today. The main theme of the congress is the fight against the spread of fascist and Nazi ideas in the modern world, strengthening international security, and protecting historical truth. Several speakers addressed the international forum including Workers Party Dep. Leader Imtiaz Ahmad. "The situation that has developed now in your region, with Ukraine, and the way Belarus is involved in this process is a situation that now requires a closer look. Deputy Leader Imtiaz Ahmad tonight gave a press conference in Minsk, Belarus where he is Workers Party delegate to commemorate the Allied Victory over Nazi Fascism. Speaking on Belarus No.1 Channel, prime time tv, the media reported: "Imtiaz Ahmad Minsk, June 25 we need to discuss the essence of the problem to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. Imtiaz Ahmad, Deputy Chairman of the British Workers Party, told reporters during his visit to Belarus to participate in the 4th International Anti-Fascist Congress, BelTA has learned. Participants of the International Anti-Fascist Congress visited the All Saints Memorial Church "Any conflict, even the largest in the world, is always resolved through negotiations and peace. In the Netherlands, the legality of the country's first euthanasia of a child under 12 years old is being investigated. The NOS television channel reported on the investigation, citing a letter from the country's Health Minister, Sophie Herman, to parliamentarians. A ministerial special commission for assessing such cases has already studied the circumstances of the case and held a conversation with the doctor who organized the procedure, after which it sent its conclusion to the prosecutor's office. Starmer Resigns outside No.10 Starmer has this morning resigned with everybody now expecting Andy Burnham to replace him. Andy Burnham worked inside the New Labour government for a decade. He served as a special adviser before becoming an MP in 2001. He held ministerial posts under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, including roles in the Treasury, Culture, Media and Sport, and the Department of Health. He voted for the Iraq War in 2003 and remained in government throughout the Blair period. 📕 During his time in office, he worked in a system that expanded the internal market and deepened the privatisation of the NHS, increasing the use of discredited private finance initiatives. 💰 In education, he was part of a government that introduced and later increased university tuition fees and expanded competitive structures in schools. He also supported government positions on security legislation, including measures related to surveillance, detention and identity cards. After Labour left office, Burnham started presenting an image of a man advocating for greater public control in health and transport  BUT he has not withdrawn his Iraq War vote and has not disowned his role in implementing New Labour reforms.
