We could not have done it without you!  Now that the leaflet is out, which has cost nearly £3,000 in total, we need to ask for another push for funds to help volunteers get to the Constituency. Zack Polanski has stated he is likely to oppose the Zionism is Racism motion as it stands, wanting to see two amendments: 1. The inclusion of solidarity with Jewish people, saying: "as a Jewish person who has shown solidarity with the Palestinian people, I would hope that our Green Party conference shows solidarity with Jewish people." Way to make it about you, Zack. This is transactional liberal left-Zionism at it's finest, as shown by his second desired amendment. 2. He considers a line in the motion calling for a single Palestinian state "imperial". We of course ultimately believe the fate of all Palestine should be in the hands of the Palestinians to decide as they fit. However, the two state solution is ultimately the current status quo, the Workers Party therefore has no shame in supporting a one state solution, the right of return and the total dismantlement of the Israeli settler state. Ultimately Zack's points are little different to his endorsement and reasoning for the IHRA definition in 2018 i.e. you can criticise the excesses of the Israeli government, but do not criticise the settler state itself.
