Do you remember how reading for two hours makes you look like a nerd from the outside? Reading from your phone makes you look addicted to it rather than a reader. Holding a book that looks like the Bible or Quran makes you appear religious or well-read, but perhaps you’re not even reading. Wearing AirPods makes people assume you’re listening to music, when you might be listening to a recitation or Mezmur. We are so quick to judge what we see, forgetting how little we actually know. The world sees appearances. You live the reality behind them. So, live in a way that works for you. Learn at your own pace. Build your own path. And please, please, don’t compare what you see with what you live. Not everything that looks meaningful is meaningful, and not everything meaningful needs to be seen.
