A little context behind this profile 😅 Fearless Soul ♞ The name doesn’t mean I’m someone who never feels fear. Fear is part of being human. For me, being fearless is about what you do despite it. The knight ♞ represents that mindset. Keep moving. Think before you move. Take the difficult path when you have to. And then there’s my bio: [9:40] إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَنَا “Indeed, Allah is with us.” It comes from Qur’an 9:40, from a moment of real danger and uncertainty. That’s probably the part that explains Fearless Soul better than anything else. My confidence isn’t that nothing bad will happen. It’s knowing that whatever happens, Allah is with us. ♞

Something that has been bothering me lately: If you know about an opportunity, useful resource, job, business problem, or connection that could help someone, share what you know and let them decide what to do with it. I keep hearing things like: “There are so many opportunities, you just have to find them.” “I know a lot of problems that need solving, but if I tell you, it will kill your creativity.” “I knew about that job, but I didn’t think it was good for you.” I really don’t understand this mindset. Sharing information doesn’t mean doing the work for someone. If you know about a problem, tell me what you’ve observed. If you know about a job, send it and tell me why you wouldn’t recommend it. If you know someone I should talk to, make the introduction if you can. Give people the information and let them make their own decisions. To me, that’s what a strong network should look like. Not gatekeeping information, but helping each other see opportunities faster and then letting each person decide what fits them. We all struggle enough figuring things out. There’s no extra value in making the next person rediscover everything from zero. 😁

Episode 4 is finally here! 🎙️🔥 I sat down with Birhan Nega, a software developer with over 10 years of experience, entrepreneur, company founder and content creator. We talked about his journey in tech, building a company in Ethiopia, working with international teams, discipline, remote opportunities, AI and what genuinely separates an experienced engineer from someone who only knows how to write code. For those who still don’t know (which is rare ), but just in case… C4rd isn’t a social network, it’s your offline networking companion. LinkedIn is great for discovering people and messaging them online, but C4rd is built for the real-world moments where you actually meet people. You can share all your details with one QR code, even without Wi-Fi, save where you met someone and what you talked about, and keep all your social links and contact details together in one clean place. Because let’s be honest, we meet so many people and then barely remember them later C4rd helps you turn those random encounters into real connections.

If you're a developer using Redis or want to learn it properly, Redis is currently offering its Associate Developer Certification exam for free 👀 Normally the exam costs $175, but you can use the code Earlyaccess100 to get 100% off. They also provide a free course and practice exam to prepare. https://redis.io/certifications/developer/ Might be worth grabbing while it's free @D4RKH0R5E

Thanks for the honest feedback. I really appreciate it. It also tells me I need to make the purpose of C4rd clearer. LinkedIn is great for finding people, connecting, and messaging. I’m not trying to replace that. C4rd focuses more on what happens when you actually meet someone. Today you can: - Exchange details with one QR, even without internet. - Save the people you meet and add notes about where you met and what you discussed. - Keep your contact details, socials and other links in one profile. I have hundreds of LinkedIn connections myself that I barely remember. I want C4rd to help turn those connections into relationships you actually maintain.

A lot of people ask me how I find opportunities. The answer isn't just applying to more jobs. One thing I've learned throughout my career is that the people you meet compound. A colleague today can recommend you tomorrow. A recruiter who doesn't have the right role now might call you a year later. Someone you meet at an event might become a customer, co-founder, employer or friend. But most of us are surprisingly bad at keeping those connections. We exchange LinkedIn profiles, phone numbers or business cards, then forget who the person was, where we met, and why we should stay in touch. That's one of the reasons I'm building C4rd. I want meeting someone to be the beginning of the relationship, not the end of the interaction. Share your C4rd. Save the connection. Remember the context. Keep it with you. Even if there's no internet. Your network isn't a number on LinkedIn. It's people. And the relationships you actually maintain can change your life. c4rd.biz
