Rail traffic has been reduced to just four passenger trains and a single general freight train per day. The executive director of the OSINT agency 'Molfar', Artem Starosiek, said that there has instead been an increase in freight traffic through Taman in the Rostov region. Now Moscow is using the land routes of annexed eastern Ukraine to supply the front lines. Starosiek believes kyiv should focus its attention on Melitopol, Berdyansk and Mariupol, where Russia is laying new railway lines to connect these occupied Ukrainian regions with Crimea and mainland Russia. The Russian railway line includes 63 kilometers of new track and around 140 kilometers of track that has been restored and is expected to be completed by the end of the year, with the full network connecting more areas of the annexed Donetsk region.
