"ERP gantries never break down?" 🤔 Well, that doesn't happen by accident! Our teams regularly carry out maintenance, cleaning, and repairs to keep the gantries in good working condition. Along the way, they sometimes encounter a few surprises from birds' nests 🐦‍⬛, and beehives 🐝to damaged equipment 🔧. But as we transition to ERP 2, these iconic structures will gradually become a less common sight on our roads, as they are progressively retired. 👋

If you live, work, or travel around Ang Mo Kio Ave 3, here’s an important update. 📢   While tunnelling beneath Ang Mo Kio Ave 3, our Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) encountered extensive underground obstruction caused by steel wire ropes from ground anchors. This poses safety risks if tunnelling continues without necessary precautions.   To safely determine the extent of obstruction and carry out recovery works, the road in front of AMK Hub will be temporarily reconfigured from 14 November 2026. - Eastbound road: Bus-only lane - Westbound road: Reduced to 2 lanes - Vehicles exiting AMK Hub pick-up point and carpark will exit to westbound road (towards Ang Mo Kio Ave 6)   🚗 Motorists should expect an additional 10-15 minutes of travel time during peak hours. Please plan your journeys ahead and follow traffic signs at the affected area.   Bus stops remain accessible and pedestrian access will be maintained throughout. 🚌🚶   Swipe for the full details. ➡️ #CrossIslandLine

🚗 Update on COE Review! 🚗 #ICYMI We’ve been engaging vehicle owners, industry representatives and members of the public as part of our review of the COE system. With the price gap between COE Categories A and B narrowing, we’re seeking your views on how we can better distinguish between mass-market and higher-value cars. 💡 Here’s what we’re proposing: 1️⃣ Merge COE Categories A and B into a single passenger car category. 2️⃣ Introduce a fee-and-rebate (“feebate”) system based on car values, so that buyers of higher-value cars continue to pay more than buyers of mass-market cars. We’re also seeking views on possible adjustments to Category E. ➡️ Check out the graphics for more details, or read the full proposal at go.gov.sg/coe-public-consult. 🗣️ Have your say by 2 Nov 2026! 🔗 go.gov.sg/coe-pcd-feedback

👮 #DidYouKnow All licensed foreign cross-border taxis must install the ERP 2 on-board unit (#OBU)? 🚨 The OBU helps us detect and take action against foreign taxis that illegally provide domestic trips in Singapore. This helps protect the livelihoods of local drivers, while supporting safe and convenient cross-border connectivity for commuters. Between May and Jul 2026, we used ERP 2 data to detect 60 instances of suspicious behaviour involving 31 unique foreign vehicles. The drivers were contacted and reminded of their offences. ⚠️ From Sep 2026, we will commence formal enforcement action against foreign cross-border service providers offering illegal ride-hailing trips in Singapore. 🤳 Report illegal ride-hailing activities: go.gov.sg/report-illegal-rides

🚗📡 #OBUUpdates From October 2026, you might start noticing new road markings and signage on our roads! These are part of preparation for the transition to satellite-based ERP 2 from 1 Jan 2027, when existing ERP gantries will be progressively removed. These new road markings and signage will help motorists identify ERP charging locations. 🛣️ Here's what to look out for:  🔵 Two oval blue 'ERP' symbols on each lane of arterial and slip roads 🔵 Three oval blue 'ERP' symbols on each lane of expressways  🪧 A new "ERP Charge Zone" road sign at the start of each ERP charging location These visual cues will complement OBU notifications, which will alert you before entering an ERP charging location, provide information on prevailing charges, and indicate the amount charged. 📱 Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for a smooth transition to ERP 2! ✨

#PSA From 25 Sep to 9 Oct 2026, owners of EVs and Plug-in Hybrid EVs (PHEVs) can vote for their preferred differentiated EV licence plate design on the OneMotoring website. Their preferences will be taken into consideration as part of the final design selection process. 🤳 Taking onboard public and industry feedback, LTA and SCDF have developed two alternative designs featuring different shades of blue. These colours were selected after extensive testing to ensure good visibility in both daylight and low-light conditions. 👀💡 #DidYouKnow These licence plates are designed to help first responders identify EVs quickly, while remaining clearly visible to traffic and enforcement cameras. 🚑🚓 #PowerEVeryMove
