HoMM2 was released 30 years ago in 1996. Don't be fooled by it's age. The aesthetics of the game, including the music and the UI were/are magical.
It looks beautiful, plays very well, and will provide years of strategic joy. Even Mods and Remasters are still being made for the series especially II and
III, after three decades.
If you're PC gamer and want exploration and discovery, challenge and tactical/strategic depth, visual apeal, functional UI, great music and ambience, I suggest you to grab a copy of HoMM2: Gold Edition, download Fheroes2 and then you're good to go.

“Hatred and Madness” by Paško Vučetić is a disturbing and unsettling painting that delves into the depths of human emotions and explores the themes of hatred and revenge. Created around 1898/99, the artwork showcases Vučetić’s early artistic style and reveals his fascination with the sinister.
The central figure of the painting is a deranged man whose bloodshot eyes and ghastly complexion convey his madness.
