💫 Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak invited Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar to take part in REW 2026 business program.
The invitation was extended during a meeting between the two parties, where they discussed prospects for cooperation in the fuel and energy sectors.
“The partnership between Russia and Turkey in the energy sector is truly strategic in nature. Russia has been and remains a reliable supplier of gas, oil, and other natural resources to the Turkish market. ✍ The Russian Government has approved a resolution calling for the establishment of a permanent subcommittee for the development of digital platforms. Its task will be facilitating the development of the platform economy and improving government regulation. The body will consist of government officials from the relevant agencies.
📌 The fifth Future Technologies Forum, scheduled to take place in 2027, will be dedicated to the creation and adoption of digital platforms. The Roscongress Foundation will organize the forum with the support of the Russian Government.

Key discussion topics include:

❗️ The highlight of the forum will be the plenary session titled “Russian-Chinese Cooperation: Together Towards Sustainable Development and Prosperity.”

The event will bring together more than 3,000 representatives from the business community, government authorities, and creative industries from Russia and China.

| 6 |  ⬆️ Preparations for Third Russia–Africa Summit and Russia–Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum discussed at Russian MFA
🗓️ The events will take place in Moscow from 28 to 29 October.
“The Russia–Africa Summit will be a logical continuation of the large-scale work that began at the summits in Sochi in 2019 and St. Petersburg in 2023, which laid the foundation for our cooperation and gave impetus to the development of long-term interaction between Russia and African countries,”
noted Deputy Foreign Minister Georgy Borisenko.
Key agenda topics for the Summit include:
🔹 trade and investment;
🔹 economic cooperation issues;
🔹 cooperation in the use of peaceful nuclear energy;
🔹 development of payment systems;
🔹 digitalization and food security.
❗️ Special attention was paid to the preparations for the Russia–Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum, which will be held as part of the Summit, with the Roscongress Foundation acting as its operator.
👉 As Alexandra Ogneva, Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation, reported, a draft architecture for the business program is currently being developed. She also noted that an exhibition showcasing African countries is planned as part of the forum.

According to a draft federal law, the Eastern Financial Centre represents a special legal regime on Russky Island in Primorye Territory. The bill creates:
🔹 a mechanism for direct access by foreign investors to Russian financial instruments;
🔹 a two-tier investment protection system, whereby investors’ rights are secured simultaneously by Russian legislation and by special international investment protection agreements;
🔹 a special listing regime for Russian and foreign financial instruments;
🔹 a mechanism for the swift replacement of infrastructure organizations in the event of external restrictions, without interrupting trading and settlement, etc.

| 9 |  🌿 Predictive medicine and the prevention of age-related diseases represent a highly advanced approach. This is how Claudio Franceschi, Honorary Professor of Immunology at the University of Bologna, described the new Russian model of healthy longevity.
He noted that such a government program is unique and that this approach is cutting-edge, even for Italy, potentially serving as an example for other countries.
“I like a lot the fact that the Government of the Russian Federation agreed to pay attention to aging, to old people, and to longevity, to aging well and in good shape. And this is something that is very advanced. Even with respect, for example, to Italy, we do not have anything similar,”
he emphasized.
Franceschi also highly praised the organization of the 2nd Forum “Russia and the World: Trends in Healthy Longevity.” He noted that the event was very well organized, and the topics discussed were first-class.

The pavilion’s slogan — “Sakhalin and the Kurils: Islands of the Future” — reflects the ideas of technological progress, social orientation, and investment attractiveness that define the region. The “Economy of the Sakhalin Region” zone will present the results of work under national projects in medicine, education, and urban development.
The pavilion’s cultural program will introduce exhibition guests to the creative life of the islands. Sakhalin artists will perform on stage, while painters will conduct live performances and masterclasses. Virtual journeys will transport guests to the caldera of Golovnin Volcano, fur seal rookeries, and the legendary Aniva Lighthouse.

At the Far East Street Exhibition, the pavilion’s zones will successively reveal the history of the territory’s development, its achievements, and its future prospects. The exposition is built around the synergy of natural elements — the ocean, the taiga, and the hills — with human potential, infrastructure, and state support measures.
The cultural centrepiece of the exposition will be a special concert programme, “Unity Sounds in Music,” timed to coincide with the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia.

| 13 |  🌴 Chukotka – Dawn of Russia: the Region awaits guests at the Far East Street exhibition
At the region’s exhibit, visitors can learn about the district’s unique geographical location as the first place in Russia and the world to see the sunrise.
The architectural design of the Chukotka pavilion is inspired by the natural forms of the Arctic.
The economic potential of Chukotka will be showcased in the main multimedia space of the pavilion. The stand will present the region’s key investment projects, the successes of the mining industry, and the region’s role in the development of the Arctic.

| 14 |  🇷🇺 🇧🇭 The Russia–Arab Forum to be held in early October will serve as a new platform for economic cooperation between Russia and the Arab states.
Preparations for the event were discussed at a meeting between Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the Russian President, Ahmed Al Saati, Ambassador of Bahrain to Russia, and Walid Hamid Shiltagh, Ambassador of the League of Arab States to Moscow.
Organized by the Roscongress Foundation, the forum will bring together:
🔹 government officials;
🔹 heads of diplomatic missions;
🔹 representatives of the business and expert communities from Russia and the member states of the League of Arab States.
💬 According to Walid Hamid Shiltagh, the Arab business community is interested in visiting Russian enterprises and exploring various investment projects. A list of these areas of interest will be compiled for inclusion in the forum's program.
The parties also discussed:
✍️ the preparation of an agreement between the Roscongress Foundation and the League of Arab States, which will serve as a framework for the systematic holding of the forum and the development of practical cooperation;
🏢 the establishment of a permanent project office in Moscow dedicated to fostering interaction between Russia and the Arab states.
💬 Ahmed Al Saati emphasized that the Arab states view Russia as a reliable strategic partner and are interested in further expanding cooperation.

Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Falkov said this at the “Russia and the World: Trends in Healthy Longevity” forum.
“The essence of Medicine 3.0 is shifting the focus from treating diseases to preserving health, slowing down aging, and ensuring healthy longevity. Starting in 2026, this approach will be officially integrated into the state guarantee program for the first time. Any Russian citizen over the age of 18 will be able to undergo a biological age assessment and, if necessary, receive corrective measures at the pre-risk stage,”

This theme aligns with one of the key priorities of the new Strategy for the Socio-Economic Development of the Far East until 2030, which focuses on improving the quality of life for people in the region. The document is currently being drafted in accordance with the President’s instructions following the previous forum.

The region will showcase its tourism and recreation capabilities, highlighting both completed and future projects. The interactive installation “Golden Heart” will welcome guests at the pavilion entrance. The main pavilion will be divided into four distinct areas:
🔹 The Power of the Territory area will explore the region through its rugged natural environment, vast distances, and resilient local characters.
🔹 The People of the Territory area will open with an innovative 3D screen featuring a “live presence” effect, where prominent Kolyma residents will speak directly to guests from behind the glass.
🔹The Gold of the Territory area will present the region’s mining industry as a complete system, blending technology, economics, and a physical sense of value.
🔹The Present and Future area will create a deeply personal impression of the region through technology and travel routes.

| 20 |  💬 Summarizing the results of the IV Outreach Session of the Verona Eurasian Economic Forum, Antonio Fallico, President of the Conoscere Eurasia Association, drew inspiration from the Strugatsky brothers. In his view, the forum served as the “Saturday” that precedes a “Monday” — a successful future that is impossible without Russia.
“We must think about a future in which Russia plays a leading role. One of the speakers said, ‘The world is sad without Russia.’ I would add: ‘There is no peace without Russia.’ You cannot build the future alone. Not only is there no peace without Russia, but there is no future either. Technology, innovation, and culture have no borders; therefore, they must develop beyond borders. If we work together—as nations, as individuals, and within the framework of institutions and enterprises—we will have a future and we will achieve success,”
he emphasized.
Fallico also expressed his hope that the next outreach session would take place as early as next year.
