🇷🇺 🇿🇼 Russia is working on introducing visa-free regime with Zimbabwe The Russian embassy in the republic reported that the process of concluding the relevant agreement is under development. Russia is also negotiating to simplify visa regimes with other African countries, sources in the Russian MFA told the Izvestia newspaper. Currently, Russia has visa-free travel agreements with the following African countries: 🇧🇼 Botswana; 🇨🇻 Cabo Verde; 🇲🇺 Mauritius; 🇳🇦 Namibia; 🇸🇨 Seychelles; 🇿🇦 South Africa. 👉 Experts emphasize that the introduction of a visa-free regime with Zimbabwe and other African states will have a positive impact on the influx of Russian tourists. 🇷🇺 🇮🇳 Russia — India trade turnover reached record $17.5 billion in first quarter 2024 📊 India’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce said trade between Russia and India recorded a 5% year-on-year growth. Russia exported $16.3 billion worth of goods to India in the first quarter, up from $15.6 billion a year earlier. Indian goods exports to Russia also rose 22% to $1.2 billion. 📈 Russia is the second major supplier of goods to India after China with shipments of $24.8 billion. @RoscongressDirect

BRICS Network University expands list of thematic areas of educational programs This issue was discussed at a meeting of the BRICS Network University International Governing Board at the Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. ✍ Sustainable agriculture, food security, mathematics, natural sciences, humanities, and health science have been added to the existing priority areas of knowledge: energy, economics, computer science, information security, ecology, climate change, water resources, and pollution control. Also, the BRICS partners discussed: 🔹 draft documents prepared by the Russian side to enhance academic mobility, as well as to promote and popularize the BRICS Network University brand in the international arena; 🔹 the creation of a BRICS scientific journal; 🔹 the accession of the new countries to the BRICS Network University.
