January 26 Com. KV Sudheesh Martyrdom Day. KV Sudheesh was a member of the Central Executive Committee of SFI - Students' Federation of India and Joint Secretary of SFI Kerala state committee. He was also a member of Kannur district council. A brave fighter, great organiser and an amazing speaker who grew up at an area called 'Thokkilangadi', near Kuthuparamba, a strong hold of RSS. Sudheesh, not being concerned about the threats of the killers gang at his surroundings, continued his resistance against Hindutva communal forces in all possible ways and emerged as a most vibrant leader of student movement in the state. Throttle down such a Comrade was a necessity for the saffron brigade. On the republic day of 1994, Kannur woke up listening the shocking news of the murder of their beloved student leader, KV Sudheesh.
