Israel is continuing the bombardment in southern Lebanon, with or without the MoU. 🇮🇱🇱🇧
Over the past month, the Israeli army has continued to bomb localities in southern Lebanon following the agreement between Tel Aviv and Beirut to find “a way out of the Lebanese conflict”. Fighting against Hezbollah and other Lebanese resistance groups has continued sporadically, leaving one person dead and dozens injured since the agreement was signed on 26 June.
The civilian population has borne the brunt of the conflict. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, since 2 March, the Israeli aggression has caused 4,324 deaths and 12,221 injuries.
| 2 |  From the Gulf to the Red Sea… Is Iran Building a Strategic Pressure Arc Against the United States and Its Allies?
By connecting the developments in the Persian Gulf, the growing pressure around the Jordanian front, and the ongoing tensions in the Red Sea, a broader picture emerges: a multi-layered strategy that does not rely on a single direct confrontation, but rather on spreading pressure across several theaters to force the opponent to defend multiple directions at the same time.
On the front line, the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz remain the main center of gravity. This region represents a vital corridor for global energy and trade, meaning that any disruption there could have consequences far beyond the Middle East.
Iran possesses several tools of pressure, including coastal missiles, drones, fast attack boats, and asymmetric naval capabilities. The objective would not necessarily be a complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz, but rather creating a persistent state of uncertainty that increases the cost of protecting maritime routes and forces the United States to deploy additional naval assets, aircraft, and defensive systems to secure this strategic area.
But the strategy does not end in the waters of the Gulf.
Pressure on the rear front, particularly around Jordan, carries a different strategic dimension. Jordan is not a direct battlefield like the Strait of Hormuz, but it holds a critical geographic position between Iraq, Syria, and Palestine, while also hosting Western interests and military infrastructure.
Any threat in this area aims to move insecurity into the strategic depth of the region, forcing the United States and its allies to expand military protection beyond active fronts to include bases, logistics facilities, and supply routes.
Meanwhile, in the Red Sea, continued Houthi threats against maritime traffic through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait add another layer of complexity. Iran does not necessarily need to control this maritime corridor; maintaining a constant level of threat may be enough to force Western naval forces to divide their capabilities across multiple operational theaters.
As a result, the United States faces pressure across three major strategic axes:
🔹 The Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz in the east.
🔹 The Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb in the west.
🔹 The regional land depth across Iraq, Syria, and Jordan.
This approach reflects a military concept based on strategic dispersion, where the opponent is forced to protect an increasing number of vulnerable points instead of concentrating forces on a single decisive front.
Looking at the complete picture, several interconnected elements appear:
- Maritime and missile pressure in the Gulf.
- The use of regional influence networks as operational depth.
- Increased pressure on the Jordanian rear area.
- The opening of an additional pressure axis through the Red Sea.
However, this strategy also carries significant risks. Iran has the ability to create widespread disruption through missiles, drones, and regional partners, but turning this pressure campaign into a full-scale war could trigger a conflict where the United States maintains major advantages in air power, naval capabilities, and intelligence.
Therefore, the real battle is not measured only by the number of missiles launched or the scale of attacks, but by a much larger question:
Can Iran build a pressure network capable of forcing the United States and its allies to consume their resources defending multiple fronts?
Or will Washington succeed in dismantling this network by targeting command centers, offensive capabilities, and the military infrastructure that supports it?
The next phase may not be a single-front war, but a struggle over the strategic shape of the entire region…
