Ukrainian-Russian war. Day 1564-1570: 🇺🇦🇷🇺
Situation on Soledar & Chasov Yar fronts: During the last week, Russian Army has succeeded in completely eliminating the Ukrainian presence in Minkivka and Holubivka, securing a series of positions to the west and east of the canal, while fighting continues in Malynivka and Tykhonivka. Russian forces have also begun crossing the canal further south of Tykhonivka.
Furthermore, Russian forces have effectively taken control of Markove after pushing Ukrainian troops eastward. Meanwhile, the opposite is happening in Maiske, where Ukrainian army has managed to drive the Russians out of the village and is fighting to consolidate its position there.

Situation on Siversk & Soledar front: The situation on some sections of the front has become clearer. Isolated Ukrainian troops remain north of Kalenyky and Riznykivka, in a “Layer zone” adjacent to the trench systems contested by Russian forces. It is worth noting that this presence allows Ukraine to launch attacks on the rear of Russian army in Kryva Luka, which has been severely weakened following the loss of ground on the north bank of the Donets River.
Further south, isolated Ukrainian groups remain in the forests of Sorochyi, Babachyi, and Zakhidnyi. Although the localities of Nykyforivka and Lypivka are already under Russian control, Ukrainian army continues to infiltrate the outskirts to gain access to these forested salient areas. Meanwhile, Russian forces continue to attack Rai-Oleksandrivka, approaching the center of the locality, and have taken control of the northern forest of Fedorivka Druha, securing that village. | 3 837 |

Situation on Lyman front: Over the past week, the 25th Army of the Russian Army’s Western Military District has carried out successful infiltration attacks into the town of Lyman, managing to build up forces within it and secure areas in the Kommunalny, Central, Severny, and Zavodskoy districts. It is still too early to speak of consolidation, but it can be said that half of Lyman is no longer under firm Ukrainian control.
Meanwhile, in the forests of Sviati Hory National Nature Park, the Ukrainian army continues to infiltrate, expanding the gray zone around Ozerne, Dibrova, and Yampil. Heavy artillery activity is being reported on both sides.

Since then, Ukrainian forces have gradually recaptured Yarova since early April, so that by mid-month half of the locality was already under Ukrainian control. However, the center remains a gray zone, from which the Russians have carried out infiltrations across the Donets River. The intense fire on the other side of the river suggests that isolated Russian groups still exist in Tetyanivka and Pryshyb, with no supply route other than drone-delivered air drops.
Following the Ukrainian counteroffensive in late May, Ukrainian activity has also intensified in Drobysheve and southern Novoselivka, which appears to indicate the opening of a new axis toward Shandryholove, the epicenter and connection hub of the Nitrus salient.

Situation north of Donetsk & Lyman fronts: While the mechanized assault east of Ridkodub failed to achieve significant results, the advance by the Ukrainian Army’s 3rd Assault Brigade along the Korovii Yar–Karpivka axis proved successful. Since May 22, Ukrainian forces have managed to advance into Karpivka (recaptured in early June) and from there launch infiltration attacks through forested areas to the outskirts of Serednje, Lypove, and Zelena Dolyna. This is being carried out in coordination with attacks from east of Derylove, which is exerting significant pressure on the Russian salient west of the Nitrius River; should this collapse, it would seriously undermine the battle for Krasny Lyman. | 5 326 |

Situation on Borivska front: During the last three weeks, Ukrainian army has managed to consolidate its position in Borivska Andriivka and begin advancing northward, where there is a small “buffer zone.” This movement threatens Russian troops operating in the salient south of Bohuslavka, which, after failing to enter Novoplatonivka, have begun infiltrating the forest north of it.
Meanwhile, in the first two weeks of June, Russian army resumed operations south of Zelenyi Hai for the first time since the fall of 2025, managing to capture a series of trench systems and the first dachas north of Shyikivka.

Situation on Kupiansk front: During the last seven days, Russian army has succeeded in reducing the Ukrainian presence on the eastern bank of the Oskil River. Furthermore, after taking full control of the eastern part of Kupiansk city, Russian forces reached the end of Olyvyno Street and are currently driving the Ukrainians out of the Kupyansk-Sortirovochny locomotive depot and the headquarters of the rifle group responsible for protecting the Southern Railway’s freight.
