✅ Covers 1,425 Quality Higher Educational Institutions (QHEIs) based on NIRF rankings.
✅ Applicable to all degree and diploma courses.
✅ No upper limit on education loan amount (depends on course fee and related expenses).
✅ Interest rate capped at Bank’s EBLR + 0.5%.
✅ Repayment period: Up to 15 years (excluding course period + 1-year moratorium).
📍 Interest Support
✅ 75% Government credit guarantee for loans up to ₹7.5 lakh.
✅ 3% interest subvention during the moratorium period on loans up to ₹10 lakh for students with annual family income up to ₹8 lakh.
✅ Students with family income up to ₹4.5 lakh continue to receive 100% interest subsidy under PM-USP CSIS during the moratorium period.

625 villages provided piped drinking water

| 13 | What are RSETIs? Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) are district-level institutes under DAY-NRLM that promote rural self-employment and micro-enterprises.
Training Model: They provide free, short-term, practical and residential training to unemployed rural people aged 18–50 years, covering 73 courses in agriculture, manufacturing, services and entrepreneurship.
Institutional Partnership: RSETIs operate through a three-way partnership between the Ministry of Rural Development + State/UT Governments + Sponsor Banks, with credit linkage and post-training support.
Nationwide Reach: As of March 2026, India has 632 RSETIs across 33 States/UTs, covering 619 districts and supported by 25 sponsor banks.
Training Achievement: Since 2009, 60.63 lakh candidates have been trained against a target of 60.81 lakh — an achievement of about 99.7%.
Livelihood Impact: 43.89 lakh trained candidates have secured sustainable livelihoods, while 22.52 lakh beneficiaries have accessed bank finance.
Record Performance: 2024-25 recorded the highest annual training achievement, with 6.21 lakh candidates trained.

📍 Kargil War (1999)
✅ Began in May 1999 after Pakistani forces infiltrated across the Line of Control (LoC) under Operation Badr.
