Hadith حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ إِنَّ الزَّمَانَ قَدِ اسْتَدَارَ كَهَيْئَتِهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ، السَّنَةُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا مِنْهَا، أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ، ثَلاَثٌ مُتَوَالِيَاتٌ، ذُو الْقَعْدَةِ وَذُو الْحِجَّةِ وَالْمُحَرَّمُ وَرَجَبُ مُضَرَ الَّذِي بَيْنَ جُمَادَى وَشَعْبَانَ ‏"‌‏.‏ Narrated Abu Bakr: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Time has come back to its original state which it had when Allah created the Heavens and the Earth; the year is twelve months, four of which are sacred. Three of them are in succession; Dhul-Qa'da, Dhul-Hijja and Al-Muharram, and (the fourth being) Rajab Mudar (named after the tribe of Mudar as they used to respect this month) which stands between Jumad (ath-thani) and Sha'ban." Hadith حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهْوَ الصَّادِقُ الْمَصْدُوقُ قَالَ ‏"‏ إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ يُجْمَعُ خَلْقُهُ فِي بَطْنِ أُمِّهِ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ عَلَقَةً مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ مُضْغَةً مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ اللَّهُ مَلَكًا، فَيُؤْمَرُ بِأَرْبَعِ كَلِمَاتٍ، وَيُقَالُ لَهُ اكْتُبْ عَمَلَهُ وَرِزْقَهُ وَأَجَلَهُ وَشَقِيٌّ أَوْ سَعِيدٌ‏.‏ ثُمَّ يُنْفَخُ فِيهِ الرُّوحُ، فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ مِنْكُمْ لَيَعْمَلُ حَتَّى مَا يَكُونُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجَنَّةِ إِلاَّ ذِرَاعٌ، فَيَسْبِقُ عَلَيْهِ كِتَابُهُ، فَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ، وَيَعْمَلُ حَتَّى مَا يَكُونُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النَّارِ إِلاَّ ذِرَاعٌ، فَيَسْبِقُ عَلَيْهِ الْكِتَابُ، فَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ‏"‌‏.‏ Narrated `Abdullah bin Mus'ud: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) , the true and truly inspired said, "(The matter of the Creation of) a human being is put together in the womb of the mother in forty days, and then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his (i.e. the new creature's) deeds, his livelihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be blessed or wretched (in religion). Then the soul is breathed into him. So, a man amongst you may do (good deeds till there is only a cubit between him and Paradise and then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire. And similarly a man amongst you may do (evil) deeds till there is only a cubit between him and the (Hell) Fire, and then what has been written for him decides his behavior, and he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise." Sahih al-Bukhari, 3208

— Imām Ibn Al-Jawzi رحمه الله [Sayd Al-Khātir] As a poet once said: کون دیتا ہے عمر بھر کا سہارا اے فراز، لوگ جنازے میں بھی کندھے بدلتے رہتے ہیں. Who would ever grant support for a lifetime, O Faraz? Even during funerals, people take turns when carrying the body!

On the day of Eid, I met my old friend who had studied all of Sheikh Ahmad Jibril’s series and taken notes. Now, when I saw him on the day of Eid, he was unrecognizable ; clean-shaven, mingling with corrupted people, abandoned seeking knowledge and Salah So, I advised him : either you have put a lot of hope in the mercy of Allah that led you to this situation, or you have had too much fear of the punishments of Allah that led you to give up hope in His mercy. You should balance these two things - hope and fear - by seeking sincere repentance. What will happen if you meet your Lord in this situation? Even if you enter Hellfire for a certain period, won’t you feel regret in Jannah that Allah was angry with you at the first meeting? We always remember the first meeting, so do you want to keep this memory of the first meeting everlasting in Jannah? فَمَن كَانَ یَرۡجُوا۟ لِقَاۤءَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلۡیَعۡمَلۡ عَمَلࣰا صَـٰلِحࣰا وَلَا یُشۡرِكۡ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِۦۤ أَحَدَۢا﴿ ١١٠ ﴾ whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord." Al-Kahf, Ayah 110 Do you want Allah to not talk to you, not purify you, and then punish you? What a disgraceful day it will be for you!!! He cried, then returned to his house, left all his corrupted friends, and started seeking knowledge again and praying Salah , alhumdulilah May Allah make our hearts firm on this Deen. Ameen. What if I had only limited myself to labeling? “Ya Murtadh!! Ya Kalb Dog, this is how you become like this, woe to you loser !!! He would have become more stubborn in committing the worst crimes. Therefore, this is the period of inviting people to the Haqq in a kind and polite way - it requires patience. So be patient, but if they consistently ignore or turn away from your Da’wah, then leave them alone on their path.
