Former CBS News 60 Minutes correspondent Cecilia Vega said she was pressured by the network's new leadership to include misinformation and political bias in stories that aired this year, ABC News reports.
Vega alleged that CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, a self-declared “Zionist fanatic,” and other executives pushed her to report on events that "never happened" and sought to inject political bias into several segments.
In one case she was asked to describe Iran as being "outgunned by the United States and Israel," which she called "an administration talking point."
CBS has denied the allegations, stating they are "not based in reality."
Vega was among several prominent 60 Minutes journalists dismissed from the program earlier this year.

President Trump directed the U.S. military not to conduct new strikes in Iran on Friday, breaking a nearly two-week streak of daily attacks, two sources with knowledge of the decision said.
The president's directive came after he approved daily strikes over the previous 13 days. It is unclear if Trump's order on Friday was a one-off or whether the lull will continue.
Trump's decision reflects both his willingness to provide more space for diplomacy and a recognition that — short of a return to major combat operations — the current level of U.S. strikes has reached the limit of its effectiveness.
If Trump orders a return to strikes, the U.S. military can mobilize on relatively short notice.
The U.S. military is still preparing plans for a possible return to major combat operations, but Trump hasn't given orders to move in that direction, the sources said.
The White House did not respond to a request for comment.
Every afternoon for the last two weeks, Trump has approved strike plans submitted by the military. They were conducted within hours.
On Friday, Trump received a similar plan but did not give a green light. Instead, he directed the military not to conduct strikes, the sources said.
Shortly after he gave the Friday directive, Trump told reporters at the White House that he has the option of continuing strikes or even escalating them, including "knocking out everything they have."
But he made clear that he thinks the "smarter strategy" is to "make a deal" with Iran.
"We're talking to [the Iranians] right now. I think they're getting more and more serious as the days go by. We're locked and loaded and ready to go, but we're talking to them," Trump said.
Later on Friday, during his remarks at the White House Correspondents Association dinner, Trump said he didn't think Iran is ready to make a deal at the moment, "but I'm willing to listen."

Israel was preparing for a powerful attack by the United States on Iran tonight (Friday-Saturday), a step that could have led to the expansion of the campaign throughout the Middle East and Israel joining attacks on Iran if Iran had launched missiles at Israel.
An Israeli source told Kan News this evening that it appears that US President Donald Trump has decided to postpone the "deadline" in order to give the Iranians another chance to return to the negotiating table.
Amid the tensions, yesterday Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office announced that he will hold a diplomatic visit to Washington next week, during which he will meet with Trump at the White House.
Senior Israeli officials told Kan News yesterday that Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is dictating a tough and firm line in negotiations with the United States that makes it difficult to reach understandings between the parties.
However, the same senior officials claim that a powerful joint attack by the Americans and Israel against Iran is expected to improve the United States' position in the negotiations.
On Thursday, the New York Times reported that Iran had rejected Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi's proposal for a ceasefire.
According to the report, which is based on Iranian sources, Zaidi met in Tehran with the senior officials responsible for the negotiations, but they rejected the proposal and said that Iran would not discuss a temporary ceasefire that does not completely regulate the question of navigation rights in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Iraqi Prime Minister's Office denied the report, calling the claims presented "unfounded".

The “Readiness Simulation” project comes as the U.S. government is about to change its draft registration system.
Since 1940, men within a designated age range have been required to register with the Selective Service. But under a proposed rule, men aged 18 to 26 will be automatically registered starting Dec. 19, 2026. The Selective Service System will work off data contained in other federal databases.
Questions remain about how prepared the Selective Service System is to handle the change.
“SSS currently relies on manual analysis, legacy modeling approaches, outdated assumptions, and historical datasets that do not fully reflect modern demographics, communications channels, throughput constraints, or operational readiness conditions,” warned the agency in a Request for Quote for the Readiness Simulation tool.
