October 2026 recorded 42 deaths reported by Naija Confra: 29 cultists, 2 innocent victims, and 11 unresolved cases. This was an increase from the previous month and majority of this incidents happened after October 15. Before October 15, we recorded 4 deaths. (Remember, these are only cases captured by Naija Confra.)
All 29 confirmed cultist deaths in October involved only the 3 most useless cult groups in Nigeria - Eiye, Aye, and Vikings. Of the 29 cultist deaths, 4 were BKB cases also involving the 3 most useless cult groups - Vikings (1 Delta), Eiye (1 Ogun), Aye (1 Ogun, 1 Oyo). Sadly, October also recorded the killing of innocent non-cultists.
Other incidents involving Eiye and OPC in Alagbado, Lagos State, and Deebam and Greenlanders in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, were also reported. In Iwaya, Lagos, a Buccaneer No. 2 man died inside a diesel tank in an incident that was not cult-related - there were unconfirmed reports that he had gone to steal diesel before his death. | 202 |

MBAITOLI, IMO: Earlier today, Naija Confra reported that the NBM (Aye) Pioneer Coordinator in Mbaitoli, named Kizito, was killed. NBM cultists have accused their DNKI (Vikings) rivals of carrying out the attack, and Vikings cultists claimed responsibility, stating that it was further retaliation for the killing of their member named Bomber, a state exco in the DNKI cult, who was killed on October 15 by Aye.
The situation in Mbaitoli is not good, as there are reports of violence in the area. Naija Confra also gathered that the NBM Pioneer Coordinator, Kizito, has lost some of his NBM friends and godsons (LM) in the area, including an NBM cultist named Mayor, who was killed by Vikings in Orodo, Mbaitoli, and whose death was reported by Naija Confra in March 2025.

DELTA STATE: Earlier today, the hardworking Delta State Police Command announced the arrest of two suspected cultists, Chibuike Ezeji (30) and Ikenna Emeka (22), in Umunede, Ika North East LGA. Naija Confra stated that the men were likely Maphite (GCAI) cultists because of the logo on the cup. We reached out to Maphite sources, who confirmed that the two men are Maphite cultists.
Maphite sources described Chibuike Ezeji as a very dangerous cultist who has been causing problems for them. They stated that, this year alone, their cult group has bailed Chibuike almost 20 times from police custody, army custody and local security custody. Many of them pray he goes to prison this time.
