• Tax Rate: The old flat 10% CGT is being replaced — gains will now be taxed based on your personal income rate (up to 25%).
• Exemptions: You may be exempt if your yearly gains are below ₦10 million or total asset sales are under ₦150 million.
• Effective Date: The new rule takes full effect from January 2026.
• Record Keeping: Keep proper transaction records; the FIRS will track crypto activities through exchanges and banks.
