This statement was posted on March 6, 2026
Now we understand what Trump meant by "unconditional surrender" and "make Iran great again".
None of the war’s stated objectives have been achieved. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) makes no mention of ballistic missiles or Iran’s terrorist proxies, such as Hezbollah and the Houthis; its references to Iran’s nuclear program are vague at best; and it leaves open the possibility of pressuring Israel to withdraw from southern Lebanon.
Meanwhile, the Islamist regime has secured virtually everything it wanted.
Trump has abandoned longstanding allies and principles, and is now openly accommodating authoritarian and Islamist regimes alike - from Qatar and Turkey to China and Iran.
This isn't simply about losing a war. It is about strengthening the Islamist axis at a pivotal moment and allowing it to claim a strategic victory. By preserving the Iranian regime and its network of proxies, this MoU reinforces Islamist influence across the Middle East and signals that aggression, terrorism, and blackmail can deliver results.
The consequences extend far beyond the region, emboldening Islamist movements and their authoritarian allies alike, while weakening deterrence and the credibility of those who oppose them.
| 2 | US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), therefore ending the Third Gulf War. | 139 |
| 3 | US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), therefore ending the Third Gulf War. | 2 |
| 4 | Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Esmail Baghaei:
Our missiles are meant to be fired, not negotiated over. Our missiles don't even like being talked about. Iran's defensive capabilities will not be discussed in any process, with any party.
Transferring enriched nuclear material out of the country is unacceptable to us. Diluting enriched material is not a new option. It has now been introduced as one option, so as not to close the door on other options.
The memorandum text has been signed in both Persian and English. If only the English text existed, translation could have led to interpretive disputes. But now both sides have signed the Persian text in addition to the English text.
Within the 60-day window, the other side must not take action to reinforce its military presence in the region or impose new sanctions. Such actions would be considered a violation of the agreement. | 431 |
| 5 | Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf:
God seems to have created Iran's enemies from among the foolish; their actions have turned Iran's potential capacity in the Strait of Hormuz into an actualized one.
Iran has sovereign rights in the Strait of Hormuz, and naturally, we will charge fees in return for the services we provide.
The true way to avenge the martyred Imam is the liberation of Jerusalem (Quds).
One hundred Netanyahus are not worth the shoelace of the martyred Imam. | 438 |
| 6 | Keynotes from the press conference that US President Donald Trump held on the side of the G7 summit in Switzerland:
● Trump clarifies (again) to the Iranian regime how it is possible to blackmail the world: If we had not reached this agreement, we could have continued dropping bombs for another 2 weeks, 3 or 4 weeks, even another 2 years. In such a situation you would never have the Hormuz Strait open.
● on Israeli PM Netanyahu and Lebanon: In all fairness to Bibi Netanyahu who happens to be a very good man, gets a little excited sometimes, but he happens to be a very good man, we had an amazing partnership, he's been an amazing Prime Minister. We have a little dispute over Lebanon. I say - you can do a little softer touch Bibi. You don't have to knock down a building every time someone walks into it that's from Hezbollah. But he will say - We're the big partner and he's the very small partner - and that's true.
● on President of Syria Ahmad al-Sharaa and Lebanon: The gentleman from Syria, who is now the president, did an outstanding job. He managed to unite the country within a year and a half. A bit like us - a year and a half, pretty much the same scale. They told me: 'Don't go near him, please. He's a very violent man, Al-Qaeda.' I answered: 'Well, one thing I know - a Boy Scout isn't going to solve the problem.' And in practice, he did a very good job. He would have been happy to handle it, you know. Hezbollah is his enemy, and he would have taken action. But he wouldn't have collapsed buildings every time he heard someone was inside. He would simply go and catch him, in a focused and precise way.
***
Conclusion from this statement: You need to eliminate the enemy quickly, efficiently, mercilessly, and not drag things out. Well, I agree with him on that. Being the most moral army in the world brought us anything but benefits.
***
● on the MoU and Israel: We did send a copy to Israel. They've been a good partner. I think they can be better in respect to Hezbollah. I'm not saying they shouldn't protect themselves. I'm saying, when two drones are shot into the desert and drop harmlessly you don't have to knock down buildings in Beirut. They could behave better, and frankly they can do a better job.
● Trump normalizes Iran’s ballistic missiles: We'll be working on a parallel effort with the Gulf nations to address non-nuclear issues such as the conventional ballistic missiles which we'll be talking about. I mean they have to have some, because other people have some. I like some of these guys (Iran), but I don't think they're smart. "Sir you shouldn't allow them to have any missiles". Am I going to let Saudi Arabia have missiles but they can't have them? "Yes sir" - Can't, doesn't work that way. Missiles aren't the problem, they hurt a little location but they don't blow up the planet.
● on Iran: They have, in one way, a primitive culture, but it's also a genius primitive culture, they're very smart people, very good negotiators.
If they don't honor the agreement, or some things aren't even mentioned in the agreement - it's a memorandum of understanding, but we have an understanding of certain things without writing it, and, uh, if they don't honor that, we'll probably go back to bombing them until they honor it. You know, it's amazing what bombs can do.
● Reporter: Is there a mechanism that would prevent Iran from collecting tolls from the Strait of Hormoz, after 60 days?
Trump: What will stop them from doing such a thing is common sense. They don’t want to be bombed. We have sanctions that will never allow them to rebuild [their economy]. Those 91 million people will be starving.
● Reporter: “A wise man once said, in January 2020: ‘Iran has never won a war, but has never lost a negotiation.’”
Trump: “Who said that?”
Reporter: “Donald Trump.” | 475 |
| 7 | Iranian Vice President, Mohammad Reza Aref:
Control over the Strait of Hormuz and its management were among the achievements of the Ramadan War (US-Iran).
From now on, the management of the Strait of Hormuz will be under Iran's responsibility, and we will collect fees for the services we provide to ships. | 683 |
| 8 | Highlights from the speech of Hezbollah Secretary General, Naim Qassem, at the opening of the central Ashura Council at the shrine of Hassan Nasrallah:
We congratulate the Iranian people, the Resistance, and the countries and peoples of the region and the world yearning for independence and freedom on this great victory.
Thanks to the Islamic Republic of Iran for linking the Lebanese arena, both the Resistance and the people, with the strength of their readiness to sacrifice and forcing Israel to halt its aggression.
The goal was to overthrow the Iranian regime, but the might of American tyranny has been shattered, and Washington's colonial project for Iran has failed.
Do not underestimate what was happening in the war on Iran. The goal of overthrowing the Iranian regime and destroying the dignified and honorable life in revolutionary Iran has failed, and the direction has changed.
The resistance in Lebanon is facing Israeli aggression, and indications suggest that Israel wants a weakened Lebanon so it can occupy and swallow it up. The head of the enemy government has openly declared the Greater Israel.
Israel's project in Lebanon is to eliminate Hezbollah socially, militarily, and culturally - that is, to exterminate a large segment of the Lebanese people through killing, displacement, and relocation to other areas to facilitate the swallowing up of Lebanon. The danger is existential, and we are defending our lives, our future, our children, and our path. We have the right to defend ourselves.
We are not talking about a criminal objective; we are talking about criminality. We are not talking about someone who kills children and women as a future aspiration; we are talking about a butcher who acts with brutality and inhumanity, under international cover. So what more do we need to understand and know that Israel has these intentions?
We have shattered the "Greater Israel" project
How great is this resistance and its people, who have paid a heavy price in confronting the most dangerous project against Lebanon! Had we not stood firm, Lebanon would not have survived for years, and had the resistance and its people not persevered, Lebanon could not have been saved.
You see this resistance as legendary, so pay no heed to the defeated.
We call for capitalizing on this pivotal moment we are at, following the agreement, with four pillars for expelling Israel.
We are strong through the triad of strength: faith, will, and capability.
What has endured is not the military aspect, but rather the faith that provides unwavering resolve and will.
We could not prevent some of the fighters from returning to the front despite being wounded several times.
The will of the resistance fighters is unbreakable, and they are racing to join the front and return to it.
The Resistance possesses the capability, knowledge, and invention to transform simple resources into significant capabilities. We also possess courage, skill, and tactical prowess. This Resistance has proven its presence.
The Resistance launched 3,185 operations during Operation Protective Edge, averaging 30 operations per day.
The number of enemy vehicles targeted was 518, and the number of aircraft targeted was 85. We shot down 12 drones and 12 aircraft, and damaged one helicopter.
The number of casualties among the Israeli enemy was 1,347, and their wounded are considered as good as dead. | 456 |

No sirens were sounded in accordance with protocol. | 673 |
| 11 | Israeli forces continue operations in southern Lebanon, with artillery shelling on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa and an airstrike carried out in the Mahlah al-Zafata area, near the village of Tebnit in the Nabatieh district. | 661 |
| 12 | 2 terrorists were eliminated in a targeted Israeli attack in Mawasi, Khan Younis, southern Gaza. | 450 |
| 13 | Yesterday, the IDF struck in the central Gaza Strip and eliminated the terrorist Ahmad Abu Hin, a Hamas military wing sniper cell commander, and Mahmoud Walid Jabr Abu Hin, a Hamas terrorist.
Both infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre.
In recent months, the terrorists have been involved in efforts to reestablish Hamas' terrorist capabilities in violation of the ceasefire agreement and to advance terrorist attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel. | 432 |
| 14 | The Iranian regime executed Javad Zamani and Abolfazl Saedi, two men arrested following the January 2026 protests in Shahroud.
They were sentenced to death on charges including “moharebeh” (enmity against God) and “efsad fil-arz” (corruption on earth).
The families of the two prisoners were summoned to the Shahroud Central Prison for a final visit only one day before the executions were carried out yesterday. | 429 |
| 15 | Trump makes an entrance at the G7 summit in Evian-les-Bains, Switzerland. and declares:
I’m the boss! | 443 |
| 16 | 5 Israeli soldiers were injured, including 1 seriously, by Hezbollah explosive drones launched at troops operating in southern Lebanon this morning.
At around 6 a.m., a first-person view (FPV) drone exploded next to a tank in the southern Lebanon village of Kfar Tebnit, close to Nabatieh. As a result of shrapnel from the blast, 4 soldiers were injured. Several minutes later, a second FPV drone exploded on a vehicle being used to evacuate the wounded troops, injuring a 5th soldier.
1 soldier is listed in serious condition, 2 are moderately hurt, and 2 are lightly hurt.
Following the attack, the IDF carried out artillery shelling on Hezbollah infrastructure in the area. | 477 |
| 17 | Lebanon's President, Joseph Aoun:
There is no fear on civil peace, and those who threaten it have become weak, and they seek to intimidate others in order to remain present (reffering to Hezbollah's threats of civil war).
The assurances we have received and what we insist on is that Lebanon has an independent path in negotiations. However, we are certainly in favor of a ceasefire and any country that helps us, including Iran.
The negotiations are conducted by the Lebanese state, which is the master of its own decisions. No one can take its place, and any settlement will be made through us, not at our expense.
Some Lebanese voices abroad are poisoning the atmosphere and inciting against Lebanon. How can a Lebanese person abroad go in the direction of destroying Lebanon or call for cutting aid to the Lebanese army? I say to those: how are you helping Lebanon in this way? If you love it, you can only love its army, and if you do not love its army, then you have no honor. | 452 |
| 18 | Lebanese MP Hassan Ezzeddine, part of Hezbollah's Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc, has stated that Iran has now become a regional superpower:
As a result, Iran today has become a major regional superpower and is shaping the future of the new regional order alongside the countries and peoples of the region.
Today, Netanyahu sees himself in a major predicament and is unable to free himself from the political and economic crises and the glaring failure he faces today.
Trump failed to achieve any of his objectives or fulfill any of his promises, especially regarding the Strait of Hormuz, which was open before the war. | 432 |
| 19 | Over the weekend, the IDF struck in southern Gaza and eliminated the terrorist Muhammad Sa’id Ahmad Nimrouti, a Hamas platoon commander who infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre and took part in holding numerous hostages captive in Hamas tunnels.
In an additional strike in central Gaza, the IDF eliminated Mu’awiya Suleiman Saqr Ayadi, a platoon commander in the Central Camps Brigade of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization. Ayadi infiltrated Kibbutz Be’eri during the October 7 massacre.
Throughout the war, and particularly in recent weeks, the terrorists have launched terrorist attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians. Ayadi was also involved in planting explosive devices. Both terrorists posed an immediate threat to IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip and were eliminated in precise strikes. | 458 |
| 20 | Russia is battling a major wildfire outbreak in Siberia’s Krasnoyarsk region, where dozens of fires have spread rapidly across remote forest areas.
The burned area has expanded sharply in recent days, growing from about 16,600 hectares to more than 62,000 hectares, while around 90 active fires remain burning. Most of the blazes are located in difficult terrain that cannot be reached by road, forcing emergency services to rely heavily on aircraft and specialized crews.
Russia has sent additional firefighters, emergency personnel, and aviation support to the region as officials work to contain the fires and prevent further expansion. | 691 |
