IDF: A short while ago, a report was received regarding several Israeli civilians who intentionally entered the area of Qalqilya.
Following the report, IDF soldiers and Israel Border Police forces were dispatched to the area. Upon arrival, they contacted the civilians and located them. The civilians were extricated from the area.

The Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, visited the Beaufort Ridge this morning (Sunday), together with the Commander of the Northern Command, MG Rafi Milo, the Commander of the 36th Division, BG Yiftach Norkin, the Commanders of the Golani Brigade, the Commando Brigade, the 7th Brigade, the Yahalom Unit, and additional commanders.
During the visit, the Chief of the General Staff conducted a field tour and an operational situational assessment in the area of the ridge, descended into an underground tunnel network located beneath the ridge, spoke with the troops, and expressed his appreciation for their actions and operational achievements in southern Lebanon.
From the remarks of the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir: "The Beaufort area is dominant terrain saturated with terrorist infrastructure. The Hezbollah terrorist organization, funded and directed by Iran, spent decades constructing extensive underground tunnel networks carved deep into the mountain to threaten northern Israeli communities, using the ridge to establish command centers, manage the battlefield, construct firing positions, and for launching terrorist attacks. Our troops control the key terrain above ground as well as these underground tunnel networks.
The Lebanese Armed Forces are required to fulfill their commitments under the historic agreement that was signed and act to clear the area of Hezbollah terrorists and terrorist infrastructure. The IDF will continue to operate decisively to remove threats from Lebanese territory and is prepared to transition rapidly to offensive operations should the ceasefire be violated.

In response to Hezbollah’s continued violations of the agreement and attacks against IDF soldiers in the Security Zone, yesterday (Thursday), the IDF precisely struck approximately 10 Hezbollah infrastructure sites in the areas of Bint Jbeil, Beit Yahoun, Kounine, and Braachit in southern Lebanon. The targeted infrastructure sites were used by Hezbollah to advance attacks against IDF soldiers operating in the Security Zone.

In the Northern Command, troops continue to operate in the Security Zone to eliminate threats to the State of Israel. In addition, following Hezbollah’s violations of the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli Air Force conducted four precise strikes against terrorists who posed an immediate threat and struck three Hezbollah command centers.
In the Southern Command, underground terror tunnels with a combined length of more than one kilometer were dismantled alongside the ongoing effort to locate and dismantle additional routes, with a focus on the Khan Yunis area. In addition, approximately 20 terrorists were struck and eliminated, including terrorists involved in rebuilding Hamas’ military infrastructure and terrorists who infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7th massacre.
In the Central Command, as part of dozens of operations throughout Judea and Samaria, more than 60 terror suspects were apprehended, including suspects who planned to carry out a terrorist attack, suspects affiliated with the Hamas terrorist organization, an individual suspected of stone-hurling, and suspects involved in the possession and trafficking of weapons. In addition, approximately 162,000 NIS in terror funds, five UAVs, materials used to manufacture explosive devices, incitement materials, ammunition, and weapons, including pistols and M-16 rifles, were confiscated.
At the same time, IDF troops continue to operate to thwart smuggling attempts and strengthen defenses along the eastern and western borders.
