Donna Marie Santiago, 65, of New London, died on February 21, 2023, at YNHH. Donna worked as a certified nurse's aide for several years. She later returned to the food service industry for New London public schools. She found the most fulfillment in serving the United States Coast Guard Academy. She had a combined service of over 20 years working for Aramark as a cook/server. Daughter, Samantha, is an RN at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital

Christopher Tracy, 62, of Guilford, died on March 4, 2023. Tracy was an actor-turned-firefighter who was instrumental in establishing the Fairfield Regional Fire School. He retired in 2017 as Fairfield's assistant fire chief after 26 years of service. He was also Fairfield's training/safety/deputy fire marshal. He was also the former Training Director at Fairfield Regional Fire School, and former Fire Dispatcher at Town of Westport Fire Dept and Norwalk Fire Dept He was currently the Theatre Director at Theater for the New City 2/15/22 - "Second Booster - Fourth Vaccination! No ill effects from the Pfizer Booster (given my pre-existing condition which reduces my autoimmune system)" . . . #OneStepCloser 😟

Jaxon Hygysician, 21-month-old, of East Hampton 5/15/24 - "Two weeks ago, everything changed for Jaxon & his family. What began as a routine trip to the hospital turned into the devastating news that Jaxon had a brain tumor. He underwent emergency brain surgery, which thankfully removed 99%-100% of the tumor. However, a few days later . . . Jaxon was diagnosed with ATRT, a rare & aggressive pediatric brain cancer" "For the next 6 months, Jaxon will undergo treatments, mostly inpatient, including chemotherapy, radiation, stem cell transplants, & more. These treatments will take place at Hartford Children’s, Boston Children’s, and Mass General. Crystal and Mark will be staying at the hospital for the next 6 months" Jaxon’s mom, Crystal Hygysician, is a Regional Case Manager for the State of CT Crystal celebrated her bachelorette party in Newport, RI, in April 2021, & wedding at The Riverhouse in Aug 2021 3/10/21 - Fully vaccinated no longer required to self-quarantine or test when traveling to RI

Nelly Singh, 41, of South Windsor 5/12/24 - “In April 2023, she suffered a cardiac arrest💔, which led to severe anoxic brain injury. 👉 Since then she hasn’t been home, instead staying in ICU, acute rehab, and now in a nursing home facility” ** OMG . . . hasn't been home in over a year, and is now in a nursing home!!!! Suffered cardiac arrest a few months after birth of baby
