Those who refused to comply were mocked, censored, threatened, ostracised and excluded. Many lost friends, careers, opportunities and relationships, yet they continued to swim against the current because betraying themselves would have cost them more than anything the world could take away.
We found out the price of freedom.
Freedom is not something granted to us by governments, nor is it proved by the absence of visible chains. Freedom is the ability to remain sovereign when obedience is rewarded and dissent is punished; it is the courage to stand alone when an entire room turns against you, and to accept being misunderstood rather than surrender what you know to be right.
Only those who were prepared to endure rejection, isolation and loss rather than hand over their conscience can truly claim to have been free, because a person whose choices can be purchased, whose silence can be bought or whose obedience can be secured through fear of exclusion is not free, they are owned.
The Covid years taught us that independence will always disappoint those who prefer our obedience, but once we no longer fear rejection, rejection loses its power over us.
There is nothing you can offer me that is worth betraying myself for, and nothing you can withhold that will make me surrender what I know to be right; that is sovereignty. That is freedom.

Almost all of the adults were in service professions, and likely chose to be vaccinated to remain working, doing what they loved. Only 1 individual got a shot in order to take a cruise.

MAY 23, 2023 – NEW HAVEN POLICE DEPT INVESTIGATES FATAL TESLA CRASH
On May 23, 2023, at approximately 7:50 am, a Tesla traveling at a high rate of speed collided with nine vehicles on Nicoll St. Seven of the vehicles were parked, and two were in motion at the time of the crash.
The operator, identified as 35-year-old Christopher Andreozzi, was transported to YNHH, where he died soon thereafter.
The New Haven Police Dept's Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to begin their investigation. They spoke with witnesses and obtained video surveillance footage.
The investigation will take some time and will include a mechanical inspection of the Tesla.
