Hence the special “density” of life — large houses, fences, outbuildings, the habit of relying on oneself and one’s neighbors. Therefore, the place itself, even now when there are fewer people, does not look empty: it appears austere and collected. And another important layer — preservation. The northern wooden churches last long, but only if you take care of them.
