*Petition for St. Joseph’s Blessing* Bless me, O dearly beloved father, St. Joseph; bless my body and my soul; bless my resolutions, my words and deeds, all my actions and omissions, my every step; bless all that I possess, all my interior and exterior goods, that all may redound to the greater honor of God. Bless me for time and eternity, and preserve me from every sin. Obtain for me the grace to make atonement for all my sins by love and contrition here on earth, so that after my last breath I may, without delay, prostrate at thy feet and return thee thanks in heaven for all the love and goodness thou, O dearest father, hast shown me here below. Amen. *Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be {3}* _(In thanksgiving to God for the graces and prerogatives bestowed on St. Joseph)_

Glorious St. Ann, filled with compassion for those who invoke thee, and with love for those who suffer, heavily laden with the weight of my troubles, I cast myself at thy feet and humbly beg of thee to take the present affair which I recommend to you under your special protection. Please recommend it to your Daughter, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and lay it before the throne of Jesus, so that He may bring it to a happy issue. Do not cease interceding for me until my request is granted. (Here ask for the favor you wish to obtain) Above all, obtain for me the grace of one day of beholding my God face to face, and with you and Mary and all the Saints, praise and blessing Him to all eternity. Good St. Anne, mother of her who is our life, our sweetness and our hope, pray to her for us, and obtain our request. (Repeat 3 times)

2 of 2 ✧❁❁✧✿💙✿✧❁❁✧ Sequence: Flos Carmeli ~ Flower of Carmel Flower of Carmel, tall vine blossom laden; splendour of heaven, child-bearing yet maiden. None equals thee. Mother so tender, who no man didst know, on Carmel's children thy favours bestow. Star of the Sea. Strong stem of Jesse, who bore one bright flower, be ever near us and guard us each hour, who serve thee here. Purest of lilies, that flowers among thorns, bring help to the true heart that in weakness turns and trusts in thee. Strongest of armour, we trust in thy might: under thy mantle, hard pressed in the fight, we call to thee. Our way uncertain, surrounded by foes, unfailing counsel you give to those who turn to thee. O gentle Mother who in Carmel reigns, share with your servants that gladness you gained and now enjoy. Hail, Gate of Heaven, with glory now crowned, bring us to safety where thy Son is found, true joy to see. Amen. ~ Traditional Translation ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Inno Flos Carmeli Flos Carmeli, vitis florigera, splendor caeli, virgo puerpera singularis. Mater mitis sed viri nescia Carmelitis esto propitia stella maris. Radix Iesse germinans flosculum nos adesse tecum in saeculum patiaris. Inter spinas quae crescis lilium serva puras mentes fragilium tutelaris. Armatura fortis pugnantium furunt bella tende praesidium scapularis. Per incerta prudens consilium per adversa iuge solatium largiaris. Mater dulcis Carmeli domina, plebem tuam reple laetitia qua bearis. Paradisi clavis et ianua, fac nos duci quo, Mater, gloria coronaris. Amen. ✧❁❁✧✿💙✿✧❁❁✧

1 of 2 Oral tradition tells of St. Simon Stock praying with fervor and faith to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel during a time of great distress and hardship for the Order of Carmelites. Our Lady answered that prayer, and for seven centuries the Flos Carmeli has continued to be prayed to the Blessed Mother with the firm faith that she will answer its request with her powerful help. The prayer below is from the first two verses of the longer sequence.
