Spent a gooood morning in SoHo.
After buying wired EarPods from Apple, we found a library-cafe called Bibliotheque in SoHo (itβs a shopping neighborhood in NY). The atmosphere in cafe was amazing: the wooden interior, jazzy playlist, aromatic coffee and calm murmur of visitors. I have journaled for almost 2 hours, brain dumping everything happened to me in this week.
Today is a holiday in US ( labour day), so it was an amazing rewind before a hectic academic week.

Honestly, it was better than I have expected - not that dirty and dangerous. However, it is very confusing π«€. On each stop you have no idea which station it is cause there is no clear signs with the name of the station, the conductorβs announcement is super low, and usually no monitor that shows the current station. Relatively smart Gen Z has a high chance of getting lost here. | 632 |
| 7 |  +2We also walked around the Central Zoo Park, the exact one from the Madagascar movie. I didnβt even know it exists in real life. My younger self would be really happy. I used to see this Zoo in my dreams and beg mom to buy me an actual Lion. Eventually, she bought me a lion plushie and I called it Alex:) π¦

Romanticizing New York with my fav Jazz mix. This week wasn't very easy in terms of my mental state - new city, new places, New York, completely different from what I have expected. Don't get me wrong, the city looks like exactly what I expected it to look; it just feels different. Maybe that's the effect of bitter aftertaste of being separated from your family and summer at your home. Being sick on top of that didn't help at all.
