「🏫」#Application Extracurricular Activities Part 1 While working on your Common App application, you might have noticed the section called Activities. These are where you describe your extracurricular activities - the things you did outside of the classroom, like sports, art clubs, research papers, or internships. You don't have to describe 10 activities; include as many as showcase you best, with a maximum of 10. Details can be provided for each activity, including your position/leadership role, the organization name, and most importantly, the activity description. Each section has a word/character count, so choose your words wisely. Now for the most important part These activities, the way you describe them, the way you choose them, and the order you choose them all play a huge role in your application. I always say that your application is a puzzle, and your activities and essays are literally the BIGGEST pieces. They both give so much insight about your abilities, interests, and passions. Your extracurricular activities are like another chance to tell the Admission Officers (AOs) more about yourself. So, take your time selecting your activities and crafting your descriptions.
