Belong to
Meaning: shows ownership or relationship to a group/place/person.
We use it when something is owned by or part of something.
Eg: This phone belongs to me.
(Ownership)
He belongs to the basketball team. (member of a group)
This key belongs to that door.
(Connection)
Belong to = is owned by/is part of
Belong with
Meaning: Shows a natural match, pairing, or something that fits together.
We use it when two things go well together or should be together.
Eg: You belong with me. (we match)
This painting belongs with the others in the gallery. (fits in a group)
That puzzle piece belongs with these ones. (fits together)
Belong with = matches/fits together
