There’s a lot of pressure in tech to create a whole new category. ✨ Meanwhile, Salesforce became Salesforce without inventing CRM. They entered an existing market where the lower end wasn't being served well and gave those customers a very clear reason to choose them: CRM without needing an IT department to manage the software. 🎯 They found their corner of the market first. Then they grew from there. April Dunford uses this example to make a pretty useful point: you don't need a new category to build something huge. You check the data, find one possible explanation, feel smart for about five minutes… and then notice something else that makes absolutely no sense.😂 And back down the rabbit hole you go. 🫠🔍 Anyone working in SEO knows the feeling. 🤔 Everyone keeps asking whether AI is replacing Google. Belinda Conde's answer is pretty clear: the data doesn't show that. Traditional search is growing. AI search is growing too. People are simply searching in more places. 🔎🤖 And when you look at an actual consumer journey, it gets even more obvious. Someone can start with Google, jump to Reddit, ask an AI tool, visit a brand website, compare a few options and then come back later to buy. So maybe the bigger change isn't that search is dying.
