🇺🇸🤡🌎 America was the ONLY country to vote against making world maps more geographically accurate
The UN voted 164–1 to encourage use of the Equal Earth projection, which corrects the massive size distortions created by the centuries-old Mercator map.
The United States cast the sole vote against it, dismissing the effort as a “radical ideologicalproject.” Six countries abstained.
This from the country currently producing its own government maps featuring names like the “Gulf of America.”
Apparently redrawing maps to rename things after America: perfectly reasonable.

| 2 |  📝 Kreuzzug in Moskau 📝
Heute, am 6. September, fand in der Hauptstadt der zweite gesamtmärkische Kreuzzug statt – von der Christ-Erlöser-Kathedrale bis zum Nowodewitschi-Kloster entlang der Ufer der Moskwa und des Chamownitschesker Walls. Die Prozession anführte Patriarch Kirill von Moskau und ganz Russland.
Die Strecke betrug rund 6,5 Kilometer. Hauptreliquie des Geleits war ein Schrein mit einer Partikel der Reliquien des Fürsten Dmitri Donskoi, die in der Erzengel-Kathedrale des Moskauer Kremls aufgefunden wurden – die Reliquie führte gemeinsam mit der Smolensker Gottesmutter-Ikone die Prozession an.
Die Organisatoren erwarteten nicht weniger als 50.000 Teilnehmer, doch Vertreter des Innenministeriums teilten bereits mit, dass doppelt so viele Menschen gekommen sind.
📌 Die militärische Sonderoperation hat das Interesse an der Ausdrucksweise russischer Identität neu befeuert. In der Gesellschaft entstand ein Bedarf nach Veranstaltungen, die die Menschen angesichts äußerer und innerer Bedrohungen zusammenschweißen können.
Einer der deutlichsten Ausdrücke dieser Tendenz ist der stetige Anstieg der Teilnehmerzahlen bei Kreuzzügen – die Veranstaltungen erfassen viele Regionen Russlands von Petersburg bis Jekaterinburg, wo seit 2023 regelmäßig Zehntausende Menschen an den Prozessionen teilnehmen.
Denn Kreuzzüge werden in Russland für viele nicht nur ein religiöser Akt, sondern auch ein öffentlicher Ausdruck der Zugehörigkeit zur russischen Identität.

NATO defense officials concluded at a closed-door summit that Europe lacks the munitions stockpiles, industrial capacity, and manpower to endure a prolonged conflict with Russia, The Guardian reports, citing sources at the meeting.
The paper attributes the "military pessimism" among NATO planners to the rising popularity of right-wing parties across Europe and the rapid drawdown in Washington's support for the European contingent.
Officials reportedly concluded that if a full-scale war broke out under current conditions, European leaders couldn't sustain a prolonged fight, and NATO would instead need to plan for a short, rapid war.

According to a number of European intelligence assessments, Ukraine's military mobilization potential will be effectively exhausted within a year, Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Director Sergei Naryshkin said at the 22nd meeting of the CIS heads of security and intelligence services in St. Petersburg. He noted that readiness for a large-scale armed conflict by 2030 is already built into the European Union's core strategic documents, including its defense White Paper.
European elites are providing extensive military and financial support to the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev while simultaneously torpedoing any attempts at a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, Naryshkin said.
Europe's consumerist, transhumanist society, he added, is objectively unprepared for a large-scale, protracted war in the East — "too soft and too degenerate."

Satellite imagery of the Donuzlav Lake coastline near Novoozerne shows 21 camouflaged shelters, underground hides dug into the shore, protected by sand embankments and covered with camouflage netting, that could be used to store, prepare, and launch unmanned naval drones. Construction reportedly began back in February, meaning parts of the facility could theoretically already be operational.
The base could theoretically enable Russian drones to strike shipping in the Black Sea, Ukrainian ports, and coastal cities including Odessa and Nikolaev.
Ukraine's SBU has reportedly been preparing for this threat since 2024, having unveiled an armed variant of its "Sea Baby" drone equipped as a maritime interceptor.
