The more I'm studying scripture, the more convinced I become that Protestantism doesn't even actually hold to Sola Scriptura. A realization I've made in Matthew is that Christ was saying He's the Son of God early on. In Matt 7, during the Sermon on the Mount, He gives the discourse that many will come to Him saying, "Lord, Lord", but since they didn't do His Father's commands (a claim at divine Sonship), they would be cast from His presence (indicating Jesus is directly tied to salvation). This was actually well-received by His disciples, as at the end of the discourse we are told, "the crowds were amazed at his teaching, because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law." It isn't until later that Christ feeds the 5,000 (Matt 15) and gives the "You must eat of my flesh and drink of my blood" discourse (in John, this is Chapter 6). It was at this point that many disciples turned away from Him, offended by what He said. The Protestant claim is that Christ is just making a symbolic parable for having faith in Him in John 6, which drove people away. But scripturally speaking this makes no sense at all, since He had been making even bolder claims at divinity well before the events of John 6. The Sermon on the Mount had already occurred, so Christ had already told His disciples that He was the Son of God and that adherence to His judgement was required for salvation. The disciples received this well, so why would a further parable on faith in Him offend them? This Protestant interpretive tradition just does not make sense. No matter how hard I try, I cannot find a way in which Christ's words here can be reduced to spiritual symbolism. A serious reading of John 6, in light of the events in the other Gospels, indicates He was indeed saying you must eat His body and blood. This is all to say, it seems that using even Sola Scriptura, with no reference to the Church Fathers, will still lead to the Catholic beliefs that are rejected by Protestantism.

I think one thing Protestants get wrong is the ardent love in which God has for sinners. This is a bit explainable through their denial (and sometimes pure hatred) of great sinners turned Saints, such as Mary Magdalene. They will say that God is merciful, but then deny that certain people cannot be saved because their sins were too shameful, too embarrassing. This is not surprising because at it's core, Protestantism is not founded on the mercy of God but rather the Pharisee spirit of which they reject sound guidance, authority, and council, in preference of their own theologians and 'professors of morality', completely splitting themselves off from the message of Christ and the importance of two things: redemption and total forgiveness. Protestantism is so fixed on supposed 'righteousness' that it forgets how important humility and repentance is for the soul; completely being ignorant, willingly or not, by our fallen nature, and how we continually need the grace of God to keep the faith within our hearts alive.

A Jesuits' School Chapel Restored The Jesuit's high school in St. Louis, Missouri, has completed a restoration of its chapel,. The chapel was originally built in the 1920s, but was severely distorted after Vatican II with the installation of carpeting, chairs, and some very unsightly ceiling lights. The niches that originally served as side altars were obscured by odd doorway structures. In a recent renovation, those structures were removed. The chairs were replaced with pews and the lighting with chandelier lightings. He was a president who brought the nation out of the 1897 Depression, and ensured that the U.S. would stay on the Gold Standard, and raised protection tariffs. Unfortunately his term would be cut short, as an anarchist by the name of Leon Czolgosz, would shoot the President. His condition would end up getting better, but unfortunately, on the night of September 13, the writing was on the wall: his wound got infected. He died at 2:15am the next morning. Czolgosoz would be tried 9 days after McKinley’s death, found guilty, and sentenced to death by the Electric Chair. McKinley’s final words:

The reason I share this story, is because many Americans only think it was Lincoln and Kennedy who were assassinated. They forget that McKinley, too, was assassinated. We have in total: 2 Presidents assassinated by leftist scum.

One day, she jumped out of the second floor of their house to escape her father's lust and died of injuries. Her exact date of death was not recorded. She was only 20 years old.
