September 12 — The Holy Name of Mary The Mediatrix of all graces; following the feast day of Mary's Nativity (September 8th), the Virgin Mary's title and honor are commemorated only 4 days later! Protestants should allow themselves to grow closer to Mary, because in doing so, they will grow closer to God.

Context: this is a respectful memorial for the victims of 9/11. This is my opinion but I feel as if it's the most prudent; many people lost their lives that day and it is not a tragedy to make fun of or commemorate. Instead of posting something edgy, it was more edifying to post something more gentle and reflective. Our Lady is definitely with those who unfortunately lost their lives that day and those who had survived.

SEPTEMBER 10: THE FIRST JAPANESE PRIEST Blessed Sebastianus Kimura Priest and Martyr Died: 1622 --- Bl. Sebastian Kimura was a Japanese Jesuit priest and martyr. He was a descendant of the first Japanese Christian who was baptized by St. Francis Xavier. He was the first Japanese to be ordained as a Catholic priest. He ministered to the Catholics in secret by disguising as a doctor, merchant, farmer, and soldier. He was later captured. He was imprisoned for 4 years, enduring maltreatment and hunger, before being burned alive.

Perhaps this is a bit personal...but whenever someone speaks of an abortion, I am always hollowed. These little babies are not just numbers, but rather innocent children who never got a chance at life. Considering the value that God places on each single individual soul, to imagine just one aborted baby is...painful. The victim here is not the mother. It's the tiny baby. Please pray that the baby may find peace. The name was never revealed but surely God has one for them. 💔

She is called “La Santuzza” or “the little saint.” Legend say that she was the daughter of a noble man who was a descendant of Emperor Charlemagene. She was brought up in a life of comfort and luxury. But when the time of her youth came, she decided to offer her life to God. Two angels led her to a cave where she lived in solitude. She practiced many sacrifices and offered much prayer to God.

A CHILD WHO CHOSE CHRIST OVER SWEETS Servant of God Catharina Iwanaga Mori --- Today is the death anniversary of the Servant of God Catharina Iwanaga Mori. She was a Japanese 5-year-old child who is being considered for beatification as a martyr. She was imprisoned during the time of Christian persecution in Japan. One day, a soldier offered to give her sweet cookies if she said she hated Christ. Though she was hungry, she replied, "Oh, no. Then I cannot go to heaven. There are much sweeter cookies in heaven."
