The arts are so powerful as a propaganda tool but for some reason I had never really considered literature to be part of all that.
I always thought people's books were published on merit.
Alas, no. This is absolutely not the case.
Books are weapons of mass propaganda.
Just check the books pushed/winning prizes over the last few years, especially since the start of the covid lark đ and more importantly their subject matter/the narratives they push. If you look for just a minute you will notice that it's all cultural marxism.
It's the LGBTQ/Trans/rainbow stuff or it's climate change, feminism, and lately very witchy, blatantly occult even.
Keep an eye out for pics I took recently at a public gallery gift shop in Dublin. Madness. Posting soon.
We're taught to look down on books that are self-published.
They're unworthy of merit.

He insisted that to fully understand that she was a girl, she needed to grasp the difference between men and women, and frequently spoke to her about her genitalia. He took photographs of her and her brother naked. He tried to persuade her to have a vagina constructed, which, at the time, would have been made out of section of her bowel or else from the skin of her thigh, which would then be inserted into the pelvic region.
He showed her graphic photographs of a woman giving birth when she was seven years old in an attempt to get her to agree to having a 'baby-hole' made. He also suggested strongly that she take hormone tablets in order to make her grow breasts when she was 12. Other scientists, including Dr Money's ex-students, argue that he did these things in the best possible interests for his patient - to make her believe that she was indeed a girl. Brenda however felt traumatised and became suicidal.
Finally when she was 13, the family told her and Brian the truth. Brenda was intensely relieved as she had felt she was going insane. Almost immediately she turned herself back into a boy and called herself David. David received compensation money for the circumcision and used this to pay for surgery to have a new penis constructed. In his early twenties he met Jane Fontane, who had three children of her own, and they married.
Unfortunately, his relationship with his brother worsened. Brian had felt that David, as Brenda, had received all the attention when they were growing up; once he discovered that he was no longer the only boy in the family, he became extremely angry. It was the start of mental disturbance that would develop into schizophrenia. After two failed marriages, he died, possibly of a drug overdose, which may have been a suicide attempt.
David had never managed to complete his education and had to take semi-skilled work. He was made redundant and was unemployed for a year. He sold the movie rights to his story, but lost the money when a business man absconded with his investment. Stricken with grief for his brother, his marriage started to fail. Jane asked him for a short separation period, but David took this very badly. He returned to his parents' house for a few days, before driving to a supermarket car park on 4 May 2004 and shooting himself in the head. He was 38 years old.
Dr Money argues that he cannot be held to blame because David did not accept a female gender identity. He says that the family delayed making a decision until their son was almost two, just before the gender gate was about to shut. Others, however, argue that he could have admitted he made a mistake when the case clearly was not working, for he continued to let people believe that it had been successful long after he had stopped seeing Brenda and she had become David. It is, perhaps above all, a cautionary tale of what may happen when a scientist falls in love with a beautiful theory and ignores the ugly facts."

On 22 August 1965 Janet Reimer was granted her dearest wish: she gave birth to twins. The two boys, Brian and Bruce, were healthy babies, but they would lead tragic lives, blighted by one scientist's radical theory.

When they were seven months old, the boys, who lived in Winnipeg, Canada, were sent to the local hospital for a routine circumcision. Unfortunately the doctor in charge of the procedure was using electrical equipment, which malfunctioned several times. On the last trial, Bruce's entire penis was burnt off. Brian was not operated on. The family were distraught. In the Sixties plastic surgery was not an option: even today it is not recommended that new-borns undergo penis reconstruction operations.
It wasn't until several months later that Janet and her husband, Ron, saw a television programme that gave them some hope. Dr John Money, a highly renowned sexologist, featured in a debate about sex change operations on transsexuals. He had brought a transsexual with him who was convincingly feminine looking.
Perhaps, thought Janet Reimer, this was the solution - they could turn their baby son into a daughter. She wrote to Dr Money immediately. He responded swiftly and invited them to come and visit him in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr Money is a highly intelligent, well respected, charismatic individual. He suggested to the Reimers that they bring their son up as a girl. Thus, when Bruce was 18 months old, he was castrated and a rudimentary vulva was created for him. The family now called him Brenda and tried to treat him like a little girl.
Dr Money was the answer to the Reimers' prayers, but they were the answer to his too. He had studied people known then as hermaphrodites, now referred to as intersex, who are physically both male and female. As it was surgically easier to turn these people into females, this was standard practice.
The gender gate
Dr Money had used case studies of hermaphrodites to show that there was a window of opportunity for surgery - a 'gender gate' - which lasted up to the age of two. During that period, he argued, if the parents chose the sex of the child, the way they brought it up would determine the child's gender, not its physical characteristics. But until this point, Dr Money had never put his controversial theory into practice with a non-intersex child. Now he had the perfect and unplanned opportunity to do so: a set of identical twins, two biological boys, one of whom could be raised a girl.
Janet Reimer wrote to Dr Money of Brenda's progress and once a year the whole family visited him in Baltimore. When Brenda was five Dr Money started to publish her case - disguising her by referring to her as Joan/John - in his books. The case became a sensation. It was the proof that feminists in particular were looking for. It was proof, they argued, that there was no biological reason that boys are better at maths and that men should earn more than women.
Nurture not nature determines whether we feel feminine or masculine. Widely cited in many text books, the case was a landmark study - hailed as proof of the overwhelming force of nurture - in spite of increasing evidence that hormones both in the womb and throughout a child's life, play a huge part in an individual's perception of themselves as masculine or feminine.
Meanwhile, back in Canada, things were not so good for the Reimer family. Brenda behaved in a distinctly masculine fashion. She liked running and fighting and climbing and loathed playing with dolls. She had no friends and was increasingly lonely as her twin Brian was embarrassed to play with her in front of his other friends. She hated going to visit Dr Money. | 27 |

"I attended the cost of living protest yesterday and I have to admit I was disapointed. Saddened even at the poor turn out. I believe the protest was to block the city center until the government agreed to meet the 3 mediators to agree a settlement. Some people say the reason for the bad turnout was because it was not organized properly. This is not true. It was well organized with Antifa kept well away. The food ladies were there ready to feed us. Tents and sleeping bags and even rooms were ready to be used. The just demands (remove all tax on fuel, stop all NGO funding . Stop all migrant funding and stop giving our money to fund wars) were announced and mediators named to mediate on these demands. Others have different reasons but for now the protest was not big enough to achieve its goal. There were loads of speakers but I was impressed by the 3 mediators and their ability to get their message out. Michelle Keane is a very good mediator for the people with economic issues. The evictions struck a nerve with me. Tom Mc Donnell spoke very well and is a good choice for the Social issues but naturally for the IED Kevin Drennon was my favorite on environmental issues. It was agreed by all the farming groups that only a farmer knows how to protect our environment. The farmers are the custodians of our environment and as such should be at all talks about our environment. The ICSA man I spoke with sumed it up nicely. It was a pity we did not have the numbers we needed to block the city and hold it until the government agreed to talks with the mediators selected by the protestors but such is life. On the upside we believe that there is another protest planned about the cost of fuel. At the last fuel protest 2 mediators were selected. (Tom Mc Donnell and Christy Duffy) . The government agreed to meet them but between O Connell st and Leinster house some people changed this to a Mr Dallon and 2 other people that were not even at the protest and this gave the government the excuse to meet nobody. Mr Duffy has since refused to mediate on behalf of farmers and the protestors yesterday replaced Mr Duffy with Mr Drennon. Personally I believe this was a great move. Yesterdays protest was organized by Mna na Heireann and we are delighted to have been present to support them. We believe that there is another protest planned soon with the same goal and naturally we will be supporting this one also. We do not care who calls a protest we support the cause. There was one winner from the protest yesterday and that was the government. Our position is that we did loose the battle yesterday but the war is not over yet. Mr Geoeghan, Mr Dallon and Mr Duffy are now planning a protest to block the city and hold it until the government agrees to talks and we urge all groups to support them regardless of our dislike for some of these people and their actions in the run up to our protest." | 179 |

đŽIndependent TD for Offaly Carol Nolan is strongly criticising the Department of Justiceâs Community Engagement Team for what she terms is its decision to âdeliberately exclude elected representatives from the upcoming Community Dialogue on immigration meeting in Offaly on 4 September.
đŽShe went on to describe the approach, which is set to be replicated across all local authority areas as âa deeply troubling attempt to manage or even manipulate public opinion while sidelining democratic accountability.â
đŽThe Departmentâs own update provided to Deputy Nolan confirms that:
đŽââThe Community Engagement Team intends to meet with community representatives in Offaly on the 4th of September.â âThe Community Engagement Team will then be available to provide a briefing to you and other local elected representatives⊠if requestedâŠâ âThe Community Engagement Team is working with the Local Authority in Offaly to identify community participants to attend the dialogue in your area through existing structures, including the Public Participation Network (PPN):
đŽââThis structure is not accidental. It is a conscious decision to keep political representatives out of the room while sensitive immigration and integration issues are being discussed. The Government is thereby locking elected representatives out of a process that will directly shape national migration policy. Indeed the briefing note I received explicitly states that these meetings will be used âto inform the ongoing development of the national Migration and Integration Strategy, to be published in 2026.â They are handâselecting participants, holding a closed meeting, and only afterwards offering to brief TDs âif requested.â That is absolutely outrageous. It amounts to nothing less than a controlled exercise designed to produce a preâapproved narrative.â
Deputy Nolan said the exclusion of TDs and councillors is especially unacceptable given the scale of migrationârelated pressures:
âCommunities in Offaly and elsewhere are dealing with real, immediate pressures such as housing shortages, GP capacity, school places. Yet the Government wants to discuss immigration and integration behind closed doors, without the people who are elected to represent those communities. It is totally unacceptable.â
She also highlighted the contradiction between the Governmentâs public messaging and its actual practice:
âThe Department claims these dialogues are âinclusiveâ and âaccessibleâ. But they are not public, and they exclude elected representatives. That is a contradiction so stark it borders on deception.â
Deputy Nolan said she will not allow democratic oversight to be reduced to an optional afterthought:
âI will not accept a situation where TDs are briefed only after the Department has shaped the discussion, filtered the feedback, and prepared its preferred version of events. Elected representatives must be involved from the outset not after the script has been written.â
She confirmed she has written to the Community Engagement Team seeking an immediate explanation and full clarity on the rationale for excluding political representatives:
âThis process must be opened up. We are all sick and tired of the political choreography on this issue,â Deputy Nolan concluded.

"Up until now protests in Ireland have failed. The reason they failed is because they were designed to fail by the gatekeepers. Protests should have a clear reason and a clear solution to resolve the dispute. But most importantly the protestors should appoint credible people to mediate on their behalf. The protest Monday is different. First its about the cost of living and other things which could all be included in the word sustainability. Our government has brought in a lot of new rules ect under the guise of sustainability but when scrutinized are far from sustainability. In fact the present government appear to have broken all the principles of sustainability with the help of the gatekeepers/controlled opposition. The best example of this was at the last fuel protest when the protestors agreed to 2 people to mediate on their behalf , the government had to agree to meeting them but in the blink of an eye the gatekeepers in the Independent Ireland political party changed this and sent 4 people (not appointed by the protestors) to go to the meeting. This gave the government the excuse not to meet anyone. This meeting on Mondat has now 3 people to mediate with the government and other groups. They represent the 3 pillars of sustainability and are Michelle Keane, Cllr Tom Mc Donnell and Kevin Drennon (IFoI). These 3 people will be the spokespeople for the Social, Economic and Environmental concerns of the protestors. The demands of the protestors are simple. Public Participation in the decision making process, We are calling for this as is our right under the Aarhus Convention. The protestors demands are 1 The removal of all tax from fuel. 2 The end of funding for all migrant related projects. 3 The end of handouts to other countries And 4 the end of NGO funding. A gesture like an immediate reduction in fuel prices could actually prevent this protest from happening. We are now calling on the government to activate their Dispute Resolution Mechanism and engage with these mediators in a sustainable way and get this dispute resolved before it gets out of hand. You are on notice that your failure to do so will be a breach of the Aarhus Convention and it will be the governments and their agents fault for any injury or disruption caused by this and further protests due to their failure to engage in their Dispute Resolution Mechanism "

This 2,677sq.m office building is the new European Parliament Liaison Office in Dublin. The building also features the Europa Experience.
The Chatham House project involved the demolition of the existing structure and new build of a 6-storey commercial block, with a basement and sub-basement. The building's extensive glazing enhances transparency, while brick feature panels break up blank façades. South-facing terraces on levels 4 and 5 provide office breakout spaces and create the illusion of a lower building height. The level 5 façade features and intricate, full-wrap stepped glass design, resembling a glass box from the ground. It offers panoramic city views and an exclusive penthouse feel. The project location posed significant challenges, necessitating ongoing engagement with local stakeholders like the Westbury Hotel and No.4 Harry Street. Complex temporary designs allowed construction to proceed without disrupting nearby businesses and buildings. The building is certified LEED Gold and as such environmental and social sustainability were at the core of the design philosophy.
In 2024 the Chatham House Project won - Irish Construction Industry Awards - Commercial Contractor - Project of the Year."
