#CSE_PRELIMS_2025 Information So Far: One meeting took place yesterday evening. One meeting took place this morning. One meeting took place after lunch. Discussions Based on the Central Observer's Report: 1. The Prelims should be held on time. 2. Some centres should be shifted. 3. The exams should be postponed. Based on the meetings held so far, most discussions have focused on postponing the exam rather than shifting the exam centres. A report has been prepared and submitted at a high level. The report reflects exactly what was discussed in the meetings. However, until an official announcement is made, please continue reading and treat the information as just information. Regarding Prelims 2025: Just a few logical observations with a bit of personal opinion (nothing based on insider information): 1. For UPSC to conduct the exam, three key conditions must be met: availability of schools and colleges at every exam center, sufficient manpower for invigilation, and assurance of safety for candidates traveling to the centers. 2. If the exam were to be held within the next week, it’s unlikely that all three of these conditions could be satisfactorily fulfilled. 3. While it’s entirely possible that the conflict could be resolved within a week and things return to normal, there’s also the alternate possibility, especially if the Government of India decides to redraw South Asia’s geography. 4. We’ll have clarity within a week. Until then, UPSC is unlikely to release the admit cards. Will update here if any verified information is received regarding the exam. As of now the exam is on the scheduled date.
