Around 6 lakhs aspirants appeared for CSE Prelims(according to newspaper reports, no official data, which is the highest ever for CSE)
Say, this year too, 5-6 lakh aspirants appeared and this Levda Thakur of a person is saying 4.25 lakhs have qualified CSAT. That makes it 70%+ aspirants qualifying CSAT, which is a huge number considering all kind of aspirants from all kind of regions, languages, backgrounds are writing this exam. It is not only centred around Delhi NCR and the echo chamber surrounding ORN. It's way way beyond that.
To say 4.25 lakhs have qualified CSAT means every 3/4 aspirant has a decent enough grasp on English and Quant. This is nothing less than hysterical.
If you would talk to senior aspirants or people who used to appear in Prelims back in 2016 or 2018, then you would find every 3/4 person clearing CSAT as paper used to be super super easy, the scores were as high as 190+ in CSAT during those days and still 20-25% aspirants used to fail in CSAT.
And here 70+% are clearing according to JHANTBOT AI where RCs were pretty difficult and a good way to judge this is to see the ambiguity in different coaching answer keys, simple english means simple answers. Please go and check 2018 RCs and the keys of different coachings, you would find hardly 1-2 answers being different, rest all were straightforward.
Other argument being, people have upped their game in CSAT. See, English aur Quant despite all the hardwork is an aptitude based thing, you can't turn around your aptitude in a year, at max you can curb down your mistake by 10-15% in exam like conditions despite all the practice. And people give most of the time to GS too, CSAT even after 2023 debacle, took a backseat as GS was equally tough.
