Valley of Flowers – • Valley of Flowers National Park is located in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand. • Situated at an altitude of over 3,600 metres. • Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. • The Pushpawati River flows through the centre of the valley. • Important flora: Himalayan Blue Poppy, Cobra Lily, Brahma Kamal. • Ghangaria serves as the main base camp for Valley of Flowers. • Located near the confluence of Bhyundar Ganga and Pushpawati rivers. • Hemkund Sahib (4,632 m) lies about 6 km from Ghangaria and is regarded as the world’s highest Sikh Gurudwara. • Mana village, near the trek route, is known as India’s last village before the Tibet border. • Mana is inhabited by the Marcha community. #ENVIRONMENT
