While the US and Israel celebrated a pyrrhic victory of the release of four hostages - the “collateral damage” spiralled out of control in a tsunami of blood, charred remains and scattered limbs. The Government Media Office in Gaza issued the following statement: "The severe repercussions of the Israeli occupation's crime in the Nusseirat Camp have exacerbated the humanitarian crisis and exposed Israel's covert intentions to commit a heinous and unprecedented historical massacre. Following up on the serious repercussions of the heinous crime committed by the Israeli occupation army yesterday in the Nusseirat Camp, targeting tens of thousands of civilians, children, and women directly in a historical massacre recorded in the darkest history of the most despicable and dirtiest occupation known to humanity, we would like to highlight the following: ⭕ The number of martyrs as a result of the Israeli occupation's crime against civilians in the Nusseirat massacre yesterday reached 274 martyrs, including 64 children, 57 women, and 37 elderly. The number of injuries reached 698, including 153 children, 161 women, and 54 elderly, in addition to the remaining civilians who were present in the Nusseirat market and its surroundings and in neighboring houses. ⭕ Field reports indicated that the Israeli occupation army used two civilian cars in the Nusseirat massacre, the first being a small civilian car and the second being a transport vehicle carrying supplies and aids. This was evident in the videos circulated by the media. Additionally, the soldiers involved in the massacre impersonated displaced individuals, wearing civilian clothes, as part of the planning to commit a horrendous massacre against civilians, children, and women. ⭕This criminal act violates all international laws that condemn such methods, as the occupation army killed more than 14 martyrs in the previous massacre months ago in the New Camp area north of Nusseirat Camp, when the occupation army invaded the new camp disguised in civilian clothing in ambulances with medical and health signals. ⭕ Field reports indicated that the Israeli occupation army bombed 89 houses and residential buildings inhabited by residents in Nusseirat during the hours of committing the horrific massacre, where many houses were bombed over the heads of their residents without prior warning, confirming that the occupation has hidden intentions to commit this massacre and to cause this large number of martyrs and injuries within the framework of the genocide it commits against innocent civilians, children, women, and passers-by. ⭕ Field reports indicated that the Israeli occupation army committed this massacre with the participation of dozens of warplanes, quadcopters, helicopters, drones with espionage and intelligence purposes, and tanks in more than four axes and directions, and that this unprecedented military force used against civilians carried out more than 250 airstrikes in the Nusseirat Camp and in the central governorate areas simultaneously. ⭕ In response to the continuous questions from the media since yesterday, we have not yet confirmed whether the Israeli occupation army enlisted soldiers from hostile countries against our Palestinian people in this heinous crime, nor have we confirmed the reports about the use of floating water platforms in this monstrous massacre against civilians, displaced persons, children, and women. We will announce this when information becomes available on this matter and at the appropriate time. In light of the above, we would like to emphasize the following: First: We reiterate our strong condemnation of the Israeli occupation's crime in the Nusseirat Camp massacre, condemning this aggression against civilians, displaced persons, children, women, and against safe residential homes, and we call on all countries of the world and international organizations to condemn this heinous crime against humanity. Ministry of Health in Gaza: •⁠ ⁠We launch an urgent distress call to the international community and its international and relief institutions to provide electric generators to hospitals in the Gaza Strip. •⁠ ⁠For 9 months, we have been relying on electrical generators to supply hospitals with the necessary electrical energy around the clock, after the destruction of the only electricity generation station in the Gaza Strip. •⁠ ⁠A number of electrical generators in hospitals suffered major technical malfunctions that were difficult to repair, and others were directly destroyed by the brutal occupation. •⁠ ⁠We expect that the electrical generators in the remaining hospitals, health centers, and pharmaceutical warehouses will stop, as a result of preventing the entry of spare parts necessary for their maintenance. •⁠ ⁠The Israeli occupation forces deliberately destroyed the electrical generators in the Shifa Complex, Nasser Complex, the Indonesian Hospital, and Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, with the aim of putting them out of service. •⁠ ⁠We have been continuing contacts with international institutions, led by the International Committee of the Red Cross, in order to supply new generators and spare parts since the beginning of the aggression, but to no avail as a result of the intransigence of the Israeli occupation.
