By 1 September 2026, owners of private household farms keeping more than 10 poultry birds must mark them and register them in the Khoriot system, klerk.ru reports, citing Rosselkhoznadzor. The rules apply not only to chickens, but also to ducks, geese, turkeys, quail, guinea fowl and ostriches. Selling poultry or eggs is not a requirement for registration: birds kept purely for personal use must also be registered. Birds can be registered as a group: a unique state registration number must be displayed on a sign attached to the poultry house. Individual marking remains voluntary for now. Registration itself is free, but owners must purchase the marking equipment at their own expense. To register poultry with the state, owners must contact their local state veterinary service. The requirements are established by Government Resolution No. 550 and Agriculture Ministry Order No. 832. Ukraine has received more than 50,000 Starlink terminals from international partners. At that scale, they can increasingly be treated as expendable communications hardware — fitted even to drones with short life expectancies while replacement terminals keep UAV control, data links and battlefield communications functioning despite losses.
