I am really delighted to share this wonderful achievement of Dr. Juliana Mercer. Congratulations, Juliana! Juliana’s journey is a story of persistence, commitment and believing in the process. She is originally from France and currently lives in Austin, Texas. After three TOEFL attempts, she finally achieved an excellent score. ( 5.5/6) What makes Juliana’s success even more special is the dedication she showed throughout her preparation. She didn’t look for shortcuts. She invested her time, followed a structured plan, practiced consistently, and stayed committed even when the journey was challenging. Juliana was one of my students who took my 16 lesson package before I updated my online session packages. During our lessons, we worked carefully on improving her performance, strengthening her weaker areas and developing the confidence needed to perform well on test day. Seeing her progress from one session to another and finally seeing her achieve the score she wanted has been extremely rewarding. I also want to sincerely appreciate the two respected TOEFL teachers who worked with Juliana before she joined me. I have great respect for their efforts and dedication. As teachers, we all know how much patience, energy and care are required to guide a student toward success. Every teacher who supports a student’s journey deserves recognition. Juliana, your achievement belongs to you. Your hard work, patience and determination made this possible. I am very proud of you and wish you continued success in your academic and professional future. Congratulations again, Dr. Juliana Mercer! Your success is truly well deserved. Metages Mesfin

I finally got my scores today, and I am super excited. This was my third toefl attempt and I’m happy with my performance. Reading 5.5/6 Listening 5/6 Writing 5/6 Speaking 5.5/6 When the reading section started, I was still a little nervous. The complete the words questions were easier than I expected so I answered them confidently and quickly settled into the test. The dail life reading tasks were straightforward although I changed one answer after carefully rereading the message. The academic passages felt challenging but manageable. I didn’t know every word but I focused on the overall meaning, key details and question strategies instead of getting stuck on unfamiliar vocabulary. When reading ended, I felt that it had gone well and receiving a 5.5/6 showed that my preparation had paid off. Listening was more challenging than I expected, but I stayed focused throughout the section. My note taking strategy helped me follow the conversations and lectures without trying to write every single detail. There were a few questions where two options seemed possible, so I carefully compared the choices before deciding. Although it wasn’t a perfect score, my 5 in listening showed that I was able to understand the main ideas and important details successfully. Writing was the section where I felt the most comfortable compared to my previous attempts. The BAS tasks were manageable and I took my time to check my answers. The email task felt natural because I focused on clear communication rather than using complicated vocabulary. It's my day to day activities since I often write emails to the high officials. In the academic discussion task, I responded directly to the question, explained my opinion and supported my ideas with examples. The 5 score reflected the progress I had made in organizing my responses and expressing my ideas clearly. By the time I reached the speaking section, I had already been testing for several hours, so I was feeling tired. However, I stayed calm and focused. During listen and repeat, I made sure to maintain accuracy and recover quickly if I missed a word. In the take an interview task, I tried to answer naturally, as if I were having a real conversation, instead of relying on memorized templates. I had a few short pauses while organizing my thoughts, but I kept going confidently. Ending up with a 5.5 in speaking was one of the highlights of my test. For preparation, I mainly used ETS mock practice tests, I watched TST prep YouTube videos. The biggest improvement came from my one on one sessions with Metages Mesfin @Meti_2323. We practiced each section repeatedly especially the speaking and writing sections. He has given me lots of strategies to apply for the test. I want to thank him a lot because he is the main reason why I'm here today with my desired score. After three attempts, seeing these results on my score report made all the effort worthwhile. Finally, I would also like to thank this channel previous TOEFL students who scored outstanding Toefl results. You are also the reason for me to wake up, and boost my energy. Thank you all and good luck with your upcoming exams for everyone.

I know... I said I wasn't going to post anything about the Cambridge Checkpoint results because this channel is mainly for TOEFL. But here I am again. Sorry about that. When you are a teacher, you understand the feeling. It is really difficult not to celebrate when you see your students' hard work and dedication turning into great results. Also, until parents and students in Ethiopia receive and know their own scores, I can't share anything regarding their results. I will patiently wait. ( Though I'm their teacher) Earlier, I mentioned that I had the opportunity to advise five Cambridge Checkpoint students from outside Ethiopia. I've already shared the wonderful news from my student in Singapore. The parents of the remaining four students have also kindly updated me with their results, and I am extremely proud of them. 🇦🇲 Armenia – Stage 9 English as a Second Language: 43/50 🇹🇷 Turkey – Stage 9 English as a Second Language: 42/50 🇵🇱 Poland – Stage 6 English as a Second Language: 50/50 🇷🇴 Romania – Stage 9 English as a Second Language: 45/50 Congratulations to all of my students! Thank you to the parents for trusting me and allowing me to support your children's learning journey. I know this is a TOEFL focused channel, but as a teacher, these moments are special. Seeing students succeed, wherever they are in the world, is one of the greatest rewards of teaching.

I was fortunate to work with five Cambridge students outside Ethiopia this year. One of my happiest moments today was hearing from the daughter of one of my former TOEFL students in Singapore. She earned an Outstanding result in Stage 9 and I couldn't be happier for her. I'll keep the Cambridge celebrations off this channel since it's primarily a space for TOEFL preparation. Thank you.

Today I had the chance to review the Cambridge Checkpoint results and I honestly couldn't be happier. The majority of my students achieved HIGH and OUTSTANDING results. Seeing their hard work turn into such excellent outcomes is incredibly rewarding and it reminds me why I love teaching. Even though none of my Cambridge Checkpoint students are members of this channel, I still want to say how proud I am of every single one of them. Congrats !!! You worked hard for these results and you truly deserve them. I wish you even greater success in the years ahead. Seeing these results also reminded me of something I often tell my TOEFL students: the difference between a good score and a great score is often not knowledge, but careful decision making. Most TOEFL test takers rush to the finish. But in the TOEFL reading section, it's crucial to slow down and avoid losing points because of careless mistakes. Before you submit an answer, take a few extra seconds to do the following. 1. Find the Supporting Sentence: Locate the exact sentence in the passage that supports your answer. If you can't find clear evidence, reconsider your choice. 2. Match the Question Type: Make sure you're answering what the question actually asks. If it asks why something happened, don't choose an answer that only explains what happened. 3. Review All Four Choices: Don't stop at the first answer that sounds right. Compare all four options and eliminate the ones that are clearly weaker or unsupported by the passage. 4. Watch for Strong Language: Be cautious of words like always, never, and only. If the passage uses softer language such as often or some, those extreme choices are usually incorrect. 5. Practice with Purpose: After every reading practice passage, identify why you missed each question. Did you misread the question? Misread the passage? Or was vocabulary the problem? The more you understand your mistakes, the faster you'll improve. For those who are taking your TOEFL test tomorrow, wishing you all the best!

Metages, My results came out today, and I honestly wasn't expecting this score! I was a bit confused during the Listen & Repeat task and Take an Interview questions 3 and 4, so I thought I'd lose more points. Seeing 110/120 was such a surprise. Thank you so much for all your sessions and encouragement.

For those who asked me earlier about the Cambridge Checkpoint results, the results for the May 2026 series will be released on 23 July 2026 worldwide. The date is the same for Asia, Central America, Ethiopia and other regions. The exact time students can access their results may vary depending on the school and time zone, as Cambridge releases the results to schools first. Wishing you all the best, and I hope you achieve excellent results.

With all due respect, I would like to say this to those who keep discussing whether I offer discounts on my TOEFL session fees or not. Please remember, this is not a clothing store, a fast food business or something that is being sold for a quick profit. This is TOEFL test preparation, which requires time, experience, planning and a serious commitment from both the teacher and the student. My concern is not simply whether someone enrolls in my sessions or not. I care about whether a student is truly ready, motivated and willing to put in the necessary effort. I worry about my students' progress and results more than many people may realize. Those who have already studied with me know this feeling. They know how much effort, support and dedication I put into every student’s preparation. I always respect everyone’s situation, but please understand that the value of professional guidance, personalized strategies, and years of experience cannot be measured only by the question of discounts. Thank you. Metages Mesfin
