THE CATASTROPHIC EFFECTS OF HURRICANE CHIDO ON MAYOTTE, FRANCE. Several hundred people - and possibly thousands - could be dead after the most powerful cyclone in almost 100 years struck the French Indian Ocean island of Mayotte.
