Welcome October, glad you made it. Thank you for presenting yourself in all your wonderful glory of colors as we transition into beautiful Autumn. It always makes me smile as the leaves turn right on cue. I like to imagine October kicking out September, saying; βItβs show time, let the baptism of leaves begin!β
As we begin our transition to an awaiting winter, let us be reminded that change is necessary whether we agree or not. Itβs time to release those things to allow new growth later on. Seasons come and go, and each season has their own rite of passage. Fall is preparing for dormancyβa time to settle in and quiet our souls for the long winter. It is the grand finale of seasons, after a season of production, and purpose.
And just like our walk with the Lord, there should be seasons of dormancy that allows us to draw from Him. Not that there isnβt anything to do, but more of a time to allow growth in our spirit and hearts as we tap into Him during the cold harsh times of trials. We quietly relinquish those things that have overtaken us, and release it, allowing Him to say to us ; βBe still and know that I am God.β
Yes, even this season which is ordained know when to be still, it knows when to be quiet, only to finally bring forth and bud later in Spring.
Change is good. Change creates a new pattern. Change is freeing. Change is also challenging, but it strengthens our heart as we draw closer to Him.
Never resent change, it just may be the best possible blessing you will ever experience from the Lord. As Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us, there is a time for every purpose.
And just like Fall, it may seem like trees are losing but oh my goodness. The leaves gladly sacrifice and when they do they go out glorifying Him as they leave (pun intended). Because they know they will return again, building stronger branches, and deeper roots. Always there to shelter, to bring shade, to produce fruit, and to bring glory.
Happy October friends.πππ

We tuned-in for the Butler, PA rally. Having Christopher Macchio sing songs after Trump spoke was incredible. And fitting.
We will face even more hardships and with true repentance, God will answer our cries.
We must not forget who we are.

ππΌTM: I've been very mindful of what we're showing our children. They need to understand the devastation and know who and what they're praying for. Nothing graphic, but they're aware.
Towards the end of the week, I've been sharing the miraculous stories and all the help that is getting through.
Videos like this? I tell them, "This is America. This is who we are."

Though there is much to be dismayed about, we should not operate out of fear or apprehension. When you have God first and foremost there is a desire to be in His stillness.
Sometimes itβs up to us to quieten our lives.
Find ways to be alone with Him, to bask in His tranquility. Ask Him to soothe what rattles and ails.
We must anchor ourselves to Him and hold tight to His promises.
Keep praying, prepping, and praising, dearest friends!

The crisis that continues to unfold after Helene, like Iβm sure it does with you, stuns me. The disaster weighs heavily on my mind and I find myself praying consistently throughout the day.
I suspect most of us directly know someone who has been impacted. And if you donβtβ¦ It still hurts to see the burdens our fellow Americans are carrying.
Does it feel like itβs going to get worse in the next few days, weeks? I suspect it will. And I suspect all of us will be effected by something, somehow.
I encourage you to finish up your preps βwithout fear. Ask Him to direct You on what to get and how much.
Continue to pray over your household and neighborhood.

Heavenly Father - It's hard to know what to do when we see the calamity strike. But, we turn to You because You know what to do.
We ask for You to sustain and deliver. Give Your strength and wisdom to all who are working diligently to save others and to those waiting to be rescued.
We ask for immediate relief from the flood waters, and the lack of nourishment and warm beds.
We ask for countless miracles, Father! Keep people and animals safe and bring them assistance so others see Your hand in their deliverance.
In the name of Jesus we pray this.
