Repost from The Liberty Tavern
For the first time in his second term, Trump will deliver a joint address to Congress at 9 p.m. ET. on Tuesday, March 4, where he'll be accompanied by Vice President JD Vance.
During a joint address to Congress, a president typically outlines their administration’s goals and agenda for the upcoming year.
While similar to a State of the Union address, Trump will deliver a joint address to Congress on March 4, 2025. The distinction is due to timing. The Congressional Research Service explains that, in recent years, some presidents have chosen not to deliver a State of the Union address the year they're inaugurated. (Trump’s inauguration for his second term took place on January 20, 2025.)
“The tradition usually is that a president doesn't have a, quote, ‘State of the Union address’ in his first year because he is just learning about what the problems are,” political journalist and analyst Ken Rudin explained on NPR’s Day to Day program in 2009.
Members of the U.S. Supreme Court and Trump’s Cabinet will attend.
There’s always one Cabinet member missing, though. Called the “designated survivor,” that person — who by position is in the presidential line of succession — is intentionally left out of such events to ensure that someone could assume the office of the president in case of a catastrophic or mass-casualty event.
Several networks are planning to air it live, including CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, Fox News Channel, NewsNation, PBS, CNN and MSNBC.

Come say hello to me if you're over on that corner of Internet World.
I'm nervous, but excited to see what the LORD can do with this new option!

Did you know that I joined Telegram in January 2021 simply to read and stay up-to-date?
I lasted a few weeks before I caved and began to leave comments. I lasted about two full months before one afternoon I decided to jump in with both feet by creating my ThinMint channel. Because why not?!
Guess what?
Today, I joined X/formerly Twitter.

If you've been reading over at The Liberty Tavern, then you know I have been tempted to join over the last few weeks just to leave replies for some of Elon's posts.
And today, I finally caved. Just so I could leave a message for Thomas Massie 👇🏼

Repost from CallToBattle
You know something I love about Jesus; He doesn't complicate things.
He didn't come to make life harder on us or to add more rules or make us busier trying to impress Him or others.
He didn't come with a bigger agenda or a heavier load for us to carry.
Jesus reminds us over and over again in Scripture how there is rest and peace in Him.
May we take time today to pause, tune out the world, and get with Jesus.
May we embrace Him and take His yoke upon us, as He tenderly calls us to walk alongside Him.
May we exchange our heavy loads with His light burden and find true rest for our souls.
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” ☕️
