Hello Friends! I want to make you aware that a dear friend in the TM Chat has been busy over the last few years working on her start-up company, DFE -Divine Family Entertainment. When it launches, it's going to knock your socks off! I'm humbled that she has been chatting and sharing her vision with yours truly and I cannot wait to share more with you when the time is right. In the meantime, she is inviting anyone who feels the tug from the Holy Spirit to join them for their 2nd annual Flash Praise Event February 26, 2025 at 8pm CT. She is being sponsored by NRB who is hosting a gathering of Christian communicators at the International Christian Media Convention 2025 in Nashville this week. More information to follow...

If you're not familiar with @CallToBattle, I encourage you to get acquainted with the beauty shared on this channel. Testimony Tuesday is one of my favorite places to be in this crazy, mixed-up, hyper world. You will be thoroughly rejuvenated by the various testimonies shared by our brothers and sisters in Christ. @CallToBattle shared this amazing prayer recently.

There are areas in our lives where the Lord has been calling us to maturity. Yet, it is easy to fall back into old patterns, opening the floodgates once again to unnecessary drama, noise, and distractions. The Lord is asking: “Do you really want to go around that mountain again? Do you really want to keep expending energy filtering out the noise just to hear My voice?” I know the answer is no. The wisdom of the Lord in this season is clear: We must filter better. We must discern better. We must step out of the cesspool of drama, noise, and constant demands. We must break free from the need to appease people and from our own need for affirmation from the wrong places. https://www.nateandchristy.co/pioneers-don-t-go-round-the-mountain-in-2025

-5 of 5- All that to say, it doesn’t really matter what Trump or the Vainglorious Despots are doing. Truly. We are not called to watch TikTok videos, read half-baked speculations, or exchange snark with others online. We are called for relationships, loving others, and sharing the Good News. We are called to live under His light and wings. We are called to establish a glorious union with Him. We are called to attend His creation and foster His flock. So live thoroughly and joyfully because of all the Lovely He gifts.

-4 of 5- I am becoming more mindful of doing what the LORD wants me to do –and doing so more timely. The innate talents and desires we have? Those are seeds planted by His hand, and He will water and grow and cultivate it for His glory and our pleasure if we allow Him. Letting our hands knit and sew, paint and draw, bake and cook, write, make music, and build and repair and harness, means we are advancing His kingdom! When we create, we are stepping into the wellspring He bestowed us. When we align our flairs with His mastership, our deeds and hobbies produce contentedness in us, and allows us to tend to others through the fruits of our labor, steering them to Christ. We are advancing the kingdom of God! So dance and twirl, read and share, ride and fly, plant and farm! Knead, mold, fashion, hammer, pluck, repair, heal, distribute, sell, raise, nurture. You are the hands and feet of the LORD on earth, and He has made you a caretaker, entrusting you to sow and share what He has instilled inside of your heart.

-3 of 5- Our twins are finishing up their junior year and I freely admit my mom heart becomes a little melancholy if I dwell on how quickly they’ve hit some of those youthful milestones. So I focus on spending time with them and helping create delightful memories, and telling them how much I love them and how much more God loves them. I am using what time I have left with them living under my roof to teach and talk, and guide and giggle. And I marvel over them being asked to slow dance at the winter dance, and how gorgeous they are, and how their tastes and talents differ from mine, and how beautifully delicate their hearts are. Our two youngest are trailing in the same footsteps that all youth must follow in order to grow and mature, and that is going by too quickly. So I tarry on the couch a little longer as I read out loud, cuddling and tickling, and listening to their fluttering, whimsical thoughts. We linger with pioneers and pirates, and magical wardrobes and woods, and we pull the blanket over us, and our limbs crisscross, and we imagine fantastical worlds and inventing things no one has quite seen.

-2 of 5- The other day I was in the middle of pruning and repotting a couple of my African violets when I realized I was smiling. I was smiling because I had just imagined myself being like Samwise Gamgee (the humble and wonderful gardener in Tolkien’s Lord of The Rings) planting in the divine realm. To know that we can be caretakers in God’s heavenly garden one day is captivating! What could have been a quiet, mundane task turned into a moment of warm bliss permeating my heart, connecting my soul to the One Who formed it. In an effort to make more homemade breads for my family, I recently created a space in the kitchen for this endeavor. I picked out storage items for the supplies that I think make our home feel extra cozy –and make me smile. I am loving this little corner and it entices me to do more homey, marvelous things. As I shared in last week’s challenge, starting a perpetual love letter to God is bringing me immense felicity, and I feel settled, still, and satisfied.

Q: I mentioned Trump and Gaza, and a diamond on the Mediterranean, and how that had triggered in me some thoughts about revelation. I’ve been reflecting on that, and the thing is, a House divided against itself cannot stand… Trump -I don’t think he’s a house divided against himself…. I am leaning more into the Bible because nothing else makes any sense. I would love it if you would respond to this… A: I have more questions than I do answers about the current state of affairs and the events outlined in Revelation. I am watching curiously, even somewhat amused, what is taking place in America and abroad. (I do not say this impertinently or flippantly.) I am not fearful because there are too many things to be joyful about -and I do not mean what's taking place with the accomplishments from the Trump Administration. We're making plans for the future, I'm doing my best to draw closer to the LORD, and I'm working on ways to be with my family more. (And I’m peeking into all the tiny corners and neglected places for even more joys that tend to be overlooked.) Listening to music, enjoying homemade food, making a cozy home, laughing with my kids, hanging out with my husband, writing... These are the earthly things that God gifted me and I do not want to squander His generosity. I get it. It's hard to let go - of people, of busyness, of tasks, of following news sources -even if it causes us great angst and trepidation. However, if we step away from the gladiatorial critics, noxious absurdity, and dark themes that pull us down, we will not neglect all the good God gives us. A great portion of our joy stems from our perspective –which will naturally impact our mood. How do we put this into practice? We can find the extraordinary in the ordinary.
