Why Sign Twice?
Built on Bundled Transactions, the delegate pattern lets users authorize an entire multi-step workflow with a single signature instead of one per step.
A temporary delegate account executes the sequence, all wrapped in one atomic bundle. Succeeds in full or rolls back entirely, funds never leave the user's wallet on failure.

Minting Update
Our tokenomics provide for an annual mint of 47,625,000 S to fund Sonic's growth. The first allocation was minted on June 18, 2025.
This year, we did not mint it.
We are actively working toward no longer inflating the supply of S. The one question still open is validator rewards, since the network needs to fund its own security, and we are working on how to do that.
This decision comes in direct response to what our community and stakeholders have asked for.
We will share more details as the work continues.

Sonic Vertical Integration update
Early numbers are in and they're strong. VI revenue since March 1 has already hit ~400% the deflationary impact of all fee burns over the same period.
This is a narrow first implementation using only USSD and Metropolis vaults.

Opera Sunset Update
Opera is being sunset on June 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM GMT.
If you're still using Fantom Opera mainnet or the Opera FTM β S bridge, make sure to migrate before the deadline or you'll lose the ability to convert FTM to S.
The ERC-20 FTM β S route and Sonic Gateway are not affected.

Sonic's DAT Update
Sonic Labs invested in SonicStrategy via a convertible debenture (a loan that can later be converted into company equity). Tokens are contractually locked and cannot be sold. Conversion can only occur upon a NASDAQ listing; otherwise, the tokens are returned to Sonic Labs and burned.
SonicStrategy has never sold S tokens and is mandated to increase S per share through disciplined open-market accumulation while operating validators.
As the DAT market softened alongside broader capital markets, the agreement was extended by 3 years to prioritize discipline and long-term alignment.
