Early numbers are in and they're strong. VI revenue since March 1 has already hit ~400% the deflationary impact of all fee burns over the same period.
This is a narrow first implementation using only USSD and Metropolis vaults.
The broader model hasn't even started scaling yet.

Opera Sunset Update
Opera is being sunset on June 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM GMT.
If you're still using Fantom Opera mainnet or the Opera FTM → S bridge, make sure to migrate before the deadline or you'll lose the ability to convert FTM to S.
The ERC-20 FTM → S route and Sonic Gateway are not affected.

Sonic Labs is implementing post-migration infrastructure improvements to strengthen security and streamline operations following the Ethereum and Fantom Opera migration.

Sonic's DAT Update
Sonic Labs invested in SonicStrategy via a convertible debenture (a loan that can later be converted into company equity). Tokens are contractually locked and cannot be sold. Conversion can only occur upon a NASDAQ listing; otherwise, the tokens are returned to Sonic Labs and burned.
SonicStrategy has never sold S tokens and is mandated to increase S per share through disciplined open-market accumulation while operating validators.
As the DAT market softened alongside broader capital markets, the agreement was extended by 3 years to prioritize discipline and long-term alignment.

Sonic's ETF Allocation Update
Earlier this year, governance approved up to $50M of $S for a potential US-listed ETF. Execution was intentionally deferred, and no tokens have been minted.
Any future execution is subject to strict guardrails. If used, ETF-allocated $S would remain locked within a regulated product and would not enter open-market circulation.
All next steps will follow governance, with long-term network health as the priority.

Sonic's Airdrop Economics Update
Per a community governance vote on June 19th, 2025, Sonic Labs minted 190.5M S for airdrops and ecosystem incentives, with distributions to date disclosed and the remaining supply held by Sonic Labs, as we shift toward more targeted, usage-driven incentives and updated tokenomics to support long-term network health.
