We can close our Gold position here for a small profit. In theory, we could also widen the TP, for example to 4079, as we expect Gold to gain on Monday. However, our entry is not particularly good, and we can find better entry spots on Monday - so best simply exiting here.
The upside potential for oil is also limited now, with only ten minutes of regular trading remaining. Markets are already pricing in some escalation between the US and Iran. This means the situation would have to become worse than feared for oil prices to rise significantly on Monday. The best we can do is close the position here for a small profit.

► Da derzeit weder eine Lösung noch Verhandlungen in Sicht sind, dürften die Ölpreise in den letzten drei Stunden des regulären US-Handels sowie im nachbörslichen Handel weiter ansteigen - allerdings tatsächlich nicht schlagartig sondern moderat.
► Wir sehen bei WTI nun einen kleinen Dip nach den stärkeren Zugewinnen im früheren Tagesverlauf. Die IRGC erklärte, sie habe zwei Tanker beschossen, als diese unter militärischem Begleitschutz der USA versuchten, die Straße von Hormus zu passieren. Laut iranischen Staatsmedien kehrten vier weitere Tanker nach den Angriffen um.
► Es ist wahrscheinlich, dass es am Wochenende zu weiteren Angriffen kommt. Auch die Stabilität in der Region hat sich in den vergangenen Tagen verschlechtert, da Irans Huthi-Verbündete im Jemen ebenfalls ein Seeembargo gegen Saudi-Arabien ausgerufen und Tanker im Roten Meer angegriffen haben.
► Auch im Schwarzen Meer wurden diese Woche weitere Tanker von der Ukraine angegriffen, während die Ukraine auch weiterhin die russische Energieinfrastruktur ins Visier nimmt. Die Angriffe gefährden Exporte über die Kaspische Pipeline, auf die Kasachstan angewiesen ist, um sein Öl auf die Weltmärkte zu bringen. Während der Hauptfokus weiterhin auf dem Persischen Golf liegt, nehmen auch die Sorgen über Schifffahrtsrouten im Roten Meer und sogar im Mittelmeer, im Schwarzen Meer, in der Ostsee und im Kaspischen Meer zu.

We are also tightening our TPs for USD/JPY and Gold slightly. Gold was weighed down by oil prices rising earlier than expected and the sharp swings in the stock market, with investors withdrawing some capital due to the very high market volatility.
You can also simply close Gold here near or slightly above 4050. We see some resistance there and can then look for a better re-entry, for example near 4030.
We will likely see some additional gains in oil prices toward the end of the session - which is generally a headwind for Gold. However, Gold still has substantial upside potential from here, so you should be able to close the position in profit in any case - in the worst case on Monday.
USD/JPY still has significant upside potential from here, but we may be able to find better re-entries with pending orders near 158.50. The Bank of Japan will continue trying to support the yen, as it senses some weakness in the US dollar. We will likely see at least one, and more likely two, further intervention attempts by the Bank of Japan before the end of the day, which we can of course buy - but always be aware that another short-term dip may come soon.
We are also setting a tighter TP ✅ for our SPCX position, which declined after profit taking in AI stocks. We should have waited a little longer and observed the first 30 minutes of NYSE trading first.

► The rebound in EUR/USD back above 1.15000 (now even back to near 1.15400) is quite remarkable and is also partly related to the BoJ interventions. The current dynamic limits the pair's downside potential for today. However, we should still see some losses (for the EUR/USD) before the end of the session - unless there are positive signals regarding negotiations between the US and Iran.
► FX markets were heavily influenced over the past two days by USD weakness following the Fed rate decision and the BoJ's intervention measures. Other central banks, including the ECB, BOE, SNB, and BOJ, also kept rates unchanged. Although inflation in the US is cooling, it remains higher than in Europe (Eurozone, UK, Switzerland) and significantly higher than in Japan.
► FX markets were affected by the BoJ intervention and a follow-up intervention(s) - but we can remain LONG in the USD. This was accompanied by another rebound in oil prices and profit taking in several chip stocks, particularly memory stocks, with MU posting a 10% swing.

► The Bank of Japan is currently intervening aggressively and has now stepped in again, triggering another sharp dip in the USD/JPY currency pair.
► We are buying this pullback and can make substantial profits from a rebound in the pair toward the end of the session.
► However, there may be further intervention attempts, so be careful when working with an SL. The Bank of Japan often carries out an initial intervention, waits 30-60 minutes to assess the impact, and then steps in again. USD/JPY should nevertheless rebound. We see currently support near 158.00 (which was session low in the THU session).
► The Bank of Japan is desperately trying to support the JPY. This will likely remain an almost impossible task, as the central bank once again kept rates unchanged despite talking about upcoming rate hikes. The Bank of Japan likely spent around $53 billion supporting the yen on Thursday alone - the largest intervention in its history.

► Further gains in the hyperscalers (MSFT, AMZN, GOOG/L, META), together with strong early NYSE trading in chip stocks, triggered another immediate jump in the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 to new session highs. Our S&P 500 TP 📸 has already been triggered. From here, however, we expect some profit taking in the overheated chip sector.
► We are seeing an outperformance of large caps. Overall, we want to remain positioned more toward the LONG side on Wall Street and are buying the Russell 2000, which has pulled back here. Defensive stocks also failed to benefit from the rally in tech, AI, and AI infrastructure stocks.
► We like both the Dow and the Russell 2000 here, although both could still fall slightly in the short term. We are buying the dip in small caps, with the Russell 2000 currently trading around/below 2920. This puts the Russell 2000 in negative territory and well below our already triggered TP from this morning or overnight. We are starting with a smaller position here so we can optimize if needed.
► We expect some profit taking in chip stocks soon, which should also lead to a short-term correction in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100. We set a very strong TP 📸 for our S&P 500 - congratulations!

🔹 Nasdaq 100 (+1.2%) - extends sharp gains for now, even though AAPL is trading around 8% lower after earnings. Further gains in the chip sector and an extreme acceleration in cloud revenue, as reported by MSFT and AMZN - and somewhat less impressively by GOOGL the previous week - reduced concerns about stretched valuations and AI infrastructure CAPEX. We see further upside from here, but also a high risk of short-term profit taking. The tech-heavy KOSPI rose 18% (!) today, although it was heavily influenced by the two chip giants SK Hynix and Samsung.
🔹 S&P 500 (+0.4%) - is benefiting less from the further gains in the chip sector, but still has additional upside from here. The S&P 500 encountered some resistance above 7500, but should continue to move higher for now - even today, despite more cautious positioning ahead of the weekend.
🔹 Alphabet (+1.5%) - is opening well and benefiting from the massive cloud revenue growth reported by MSFT and AMZN, as well as generally reduced concerns about CAPEX spending by the hyperscalers. One exception is META, which is genuinely overspending and, unlike the other three companies, has not yet benefited from cloud revenue growth. My position was already closed in pre-market trading. GOOGL is currently up around 1.5% and trading above or near our TP ✅ (337.77 | 337.37 GOOG). GOOGL has significantly more upside potential in August and remains an excellent long-term investment at its current valuation.
🔹 Nvidia (+1.6%) - continues to rebound and remains bullish, with substantial upside potential in Q3 / H2. NVDA's moderate performance makes little sense given its strong and uninterrupted fundamental growth. Wells Fargo strongly recommends remaining invested in NVDA and expects the chip giant to "outperform" the market. We remain LONG and are setting our TP slightly higher - although it will not be triggered today.

► Overall, we want to remain positioned more toward the LONG side - particularly the hyperscalers MSFT, AMZN, and GOOG/L, even META after yesterday's sharp losses, remain attractive.
► We are looking for good entries. We still like the chip sector and the outlook for further gains, but MU, AMD, and INTC are already up around 5%. The risk of profit taking is VERY high in the chip sector.

► AAPL's sharp post-earnings losses are weighing heavily on Wall Street. The S&P 500 is trading "only" around 0.15% higher despite strong gains in chip stocks and AMZN. AMZN followed MSFT's mega performance from the previous day after reporting a very sharp acceleration in cloud revenue, specifically AWS revenue, similar to Microsoft's Azure. It was the strongest YoY growth in its cloud business since 2021. Apple reported a very strong quarter, but its revenue guidance failed to sustain investor excitement. AAPL had recently outperformed as the tech giant benefited from the rotation out of AI chip stocks. With the stock now trading ~8% lower, we see only limited short-term downside for AAPL.
► It has been a phenomenal earnings season so far - technology companies in particular have reported revenue growth that we have not seen in many years. The AI boom has driven extreme revenue growth, even well above expectations. This also strengthens the view that the recent decline in chip stocks went too far.
► The chip-heavy Korean KOSPI rose an unprecedented 18% today following gains in the US markets. Memory giant SK Hynix hit the 30% daily limit after the recent excessive sell-off. My very strong recommendation yesterday was to buy SK Hynix, Micron, AMD, and others - also today's top performers.
► We are seeing positive market breadth and very strong gains in Asia. European stocks are also higher but more moderately.
► Some headwinds are coming from more cautious investor positioning, higher energy prices ahead of the weekend, the US dollar rebounding after the excessive sell-off, and some likely profit taking - especially in chip stocks.
► However, we can remain LONG for now and either enter here or wait for the volatility around the NYSE opening. We expect gains directly at the opening.

► Precious metals have opened the door for moderate gains in Q3. While the $4,000 level remains key and will likely be tested several more times in August, we generally see sufficient buying interest around this level and throughout the $4,000 - $4,100 range. In the eyes of many investors, Gold is once again an attractive long-term investment, now with more limited short-term downside potential.
► The excessive sell-off in the US dollar, after the market was surprised that Warsh is rhetorically tough on inflation but is taking a wait-and-see approach in practice and positioning the Fed in an observational stance rather than preparing for an early rate hike, supported Gold this week.
► Yesterday, we saw a very strong rebound in stocks - which generated massive profits for us - driven by gains in AI and AI infrastructure stocks as well as the cloud giants Microsoft and Amazon. AAPL's earnings report was also very strong, even though AAPL is currently down 7%. Gold also performed well yesterday, but was particularly supported by lower rate hike expectations and US dollar weakness. We are also seeing a strong pre-market on Wall Street today - our Russell 2000 already hit its TP 📸 for a major profit. My GOOGL TP 📸 was also triggered in pre-market trading.
► A likely strengthening USD today may limit the upside, as could rising energy prices ahead of the weekend, but Gold still has upside potential from here.

Sorry for the late update today. It was an extremely busy day - not only in the markets, but also because I was still in meetings with fellow analysts from the US until just 2 1/2 hours ago.
It was an exceptionally strong session for us 👏 - even though we could have closed several positions much better, including AMD 📸, MU 📸, CRM 📸, and CAT 📸. We saw the extreme market reversal, including the rotation back into chip and AI infrastructure stocks and out of software stocks and defensive sectors that we had expected and traded. We were slightly too far ahead of the market even as we expected today's movements already at the start of the week.
I closed CVX well in profit overall - as did most members. However, since I cannot know with certainty whether every single one of you closed in profit, we are counting the trade as a loss (!). Very unfortunate, especially considering how sharply CRM 📸 corrected today - a fantastic SHORT.
Spectacular index trading from us - particularly our timing in the Dow Jones 📸. Our Russell 2000 position is deep in profit. We can slightly update the SL 🔑 and TP ✅. You can also re-enter EUR/USD (near/above 1.15200 - 1.15400) - the pair rose sharply today due to excessive USD selling. We are tightening our TP ✅.
We also extended our long winning streak in Gold/Silver ✅ to 20 successful trades in a row - incredible!
I already closed my BTC position 📸 during a spike in Asian trading. You can also close with a small profit either today or early next week.

Our 🔽 success rate falls below the magic 90% mark, as a flawless 6/6 session 💎 (SA/SR = 100%) dropped out of the five-week statistics and was replaced by last Thursday's strong 7/8 session (SA/SR = 87.5%). This once again shows how incredibly difficult it is to remain at this exceptionally high level when even a 7/8 session reduces our Signal Accuracy.
I also closed the Nasdaq 100 into today's very strong rebound, although I am still holding a LONG position with a wider TP (✅ @: 28536.40 (28659.90 Future)). We will also look for entries tomorrow, but expect markets to turn more cautious again, particularly during the second half of the session.
We also closed our MU position - unfortunately still with off-profit overall and too early, as MU rose an incredible 18.4% and gained another nearly 5% in after-hours trading. The stock is now trading above $910 (!).
We are slightly tightening the TP ✅ for our BTC position here. 🔄 Already triggered for me just now - but you can still set it.
NVDA closed sharply higher today (+2.65%, with further gains in after-hours trading) and still has additional upside potential.

We saw the major rebound today, which closed most of our positions. Our Nasdaq TP has now also been hit in after-hours trading. I remain LONG in the Nasdaq 100, but I have closed nearly all of my positions from recent days. We expect further gains in the Nasdaq 100 over the coming sessions. The Nasdaq 100 rose almost 4% today, driven by an extreme rebound in chip stocks as well as Microsoft. Strong earnings from AMZN provided further upside for the Nasdaq 100. AMZN is trading more than 11% higher, with almost 8% of that gain coming in after-hours trading alone.
Similar to MSFT, Amazon also reported extremely strong revenue growth in its cloud segment. AWS revenue rose an impressive 37% YoY - its strongest expansion since 2021! Amazon remains the largest force in cloud computing.
AAPL also reported very strong earnings, including a massive increase in iPhone sales of nearly 22% YoY. However, even these results were not enough to prevent the recently overbought AAPL stock from declining after earnings. AAPL had gained strongly in recent sessions, as its perceived defensive profile allowed it to benefit from the rotation out of AI and AI infrastructure stocks. Its conservative CAPEX strategy regarding its own AI ambitions had also been strongly rewarded by the market.
We are setting an in-profit SL 🔑 for our Russell 2000 position and widening the TP ✅ further. We found a very strong entry.
If you are still holding a Nasdaq 100 position, you can widen the TP further. If not, we can look for a slightly better entry during Friday's session.

As you can imagine, I received a significant number of requests today from portfolio management / research teams (incl. from investment banks / investment firms that I have in some cases advised for many years), seeking guidance on portfolio positioning, rebalancing, and related matters. This was particularly because I had outlined today's market reaction to colleagues almost exactly as it ultimately unfolded - especially the post-Fed response, how Warsh would position the Fed, and how markets were likely to interpret that stance. Our analysis was an extreme outlier view, but so far, we have been proven right. The follow-up from here is, of course, equally important. I was also essentially alone in expecting today's rotation back into AI infrastructure and out of software stocks - which was clearly reflected in yesterday's market dynamics.
► We traded the Dow Jones perfectly today (two times) as we also went back in perfectly (already hit TP) - in case you are still LONG - you can close now in the range 52175 - 52205 (+140 points for future). I widened my TP a bit 📸 - already triggered.
► We generally want to stay LONG and see upside still in the Dow but also in the small caps. I generally still see more rebound potential in the chip / AI sector which may limit gains for more defensive stocks. ► We could not have closed the Dow any better 📸 - 100% perfect. At the same time, we saw exactly the extreme rotation back into chip stocks that we had expected, which weighed heavily on several other sectors, including defensive stocks and especially Salesforce - which we closed too early. Our software SHORTs in SHOP and CRM were phenomenal trades against the market. Other software stocks also gave back a large portion of their recent excessive gains, including ADBE and numerous other software names that investors had bought aggressively.
► We can now re-enter the Dow, as we also saw FOMO and panic buying in chip and AI stocks, which has already gone very far. We now expect moderate profit taking in the AI sector, which should help some of the stocks and sectors currently trading deep in the red to stabilize again as capital rotates back (partially).
► Overall, we see upside potential for Wall Street.
► The extreme rebound in chip and AI stocks, together with MSFT, temporarily led to weak overall market breadth - the capital ultimately has to come from somewhere!
