Friday was another strong session 👏 - above all because we read the market very well and had already reduced our exposure almost ideally ahead of the NFP data.
Both before and after the NFP release, the market was very difficult to trade. The highly surprising labor market data caused significant losses for most traders. Traders suffered then even more losses because they bought risk assets in reaction to the strong data without understanding the immediate monetary policy implications: With rate hike expectations rising, the short-term dynamic was Good News = Bad News.
With our original USD/JPY position 📸, we ran into intervention measures from Japan’s Ministry of Finance / the BoJ. Afterward, however, we very successfully sold the excessive JPY gains - including with AUD/JPY 📸, which I closed a bit higher.
Getting caught by the intervention and the subsequent overreaction is something that cannot really be avoided. In hindsight, however, we could have closed the original position earlier or worked with a tighter SL. If you are still LONG in USD/JPY, we expect some renewed JPY weakness over the coming sessions. For USD/JPY, the key factor will be how Friday’s US CPI data come in.
On Friday, and throughout the entire past week, we mostly executed contrarian trades - with great success. These included INTC 📸, our Nasdaq 100 swing trades 📸, as well as our trades on a correction of the excessive JPY move.
With US markets closed today, we will mostly stay out of the market.

Our 🔼 Signal Accuracy / Success Rate over the five-week period has increased even further to 91.1%. A 3/4 session (SA/SR = 75%) dropped out of the statistics and was replaced by the stronger 5/6 session from August 28 (SA/SR = 83.3%).
What remains particularly remarkable is that even during the recent highly mixed market conditions, we continue to win more than 9 out of 10 trades, while the majority of our sessions have remained flawless 💎 for more than three months.
All positions in this part of the performance overview had already been closed at the start of Friday’s session.
Our CAC 40 position remains open. The index ended Friday’s trading almost unchanged, but has upside potential in the coming week. | 24 |

Another very good session and once again very strong positioning from us beforehand.
Waller’s unexpectedly dovish comments actually supported our portfolio overall. However, we could also have closed our BTC position 📸 well in profit. Only the strength of the JPY weighed on our USD/JPY position and likely resulted in some SL closes as well. We are now working with a tighter TP ✅ here.
We then deliberately used the temporary strong gains in the JPY for our AUD/JPY position, which has just moved back out of profit. We slightly update our TP ✅.
Today, we also closed three stock positions in profit: AMD 📸 and, in particular, PFE 📸 and AVGO 📸 with very strong gains.
For our Nasdaq SHORT, we are tightening the TP ✅ slightly. Ahead of tomorrow’s NFP data, we expect increasingly cautious positioning during Asian and European trading as well, with correspondingly more restrained risk appetite. | 31 |

A very strong 7/8 session (SA/SR = 87.5%) - and, for once, not a completely flawless one - dropped out of our five-week statistics and was replaced by last Thursday’s perfect performance (5/5; 💎 SA/SR = 100%).
That really highlights just how close to perfection we have been trading for weeks, even months. Our success rate actually improved when a 7/8 session drops out of the statistics. In other words, our longer-term hit rate is above 87.5% (= 7/8) - a level that would already be considered an exceptional and very rare daily performance for most professional traders.
Our 🔼 Signal Accuracy / Success Rate is at incredible 91% 🏆
Our BTC position reached its TP and was closed overall off-profit. BTC then continued higher into the profit zone. We were slightly too cautious here, but I deliberately wanted to find an exit.
Gold, on the other hand, was closed overnight with a very strong profit, although in hindsight we could have captured even more of the gains. The CAC 40 finished today’s session slightly higher at +0.1%.
The strong gains across many USD-denominated assets today were largely driven by unexpectedly dovish comments from Fed Governor and FOMC member Waller. | 26 |

Apologies for the delayed update. In the meantime, Gold 📸 and Brent 📸 have also hit their TPs ✅. The Brent future may still be open - if so, you can adjust the TP ✅ slightly.
Gold was exceptionally well traded by us: We bought more almost at the low during heavy panic selling - followed by a move of around 2.5% in less than 24 hours in our favor - spectacular. That now brings us to 4️⃣3️⃣ successful Gold/Silver trades in a row.
DELL 📸 was also a very strong rebound trade, as was our NYSE Opening Trade with the Nasdaq 100. PFE was already a very strong trade on Tuesday and remains open, deep in profit.
With USD/JPY, we ran into BoJ intervention measures. We are tightening the TP ✅. We are also currently seeing several smaller follow-up interventions.
We closed our WTI SHORT 📸 a bit too early during Asian trading - but the re-entry against the market was perfect.

It really feels like we have nothing but flawless sessions in our five-week period.
A perfect 4/4 session 💎 (SA/SR = 100%) dropped out of our 25-trading-day statistics and was replaced by last Wednesday’s equally flawless 5/5 session 💎 (SA/SR = 100%). Our 🔼 Signal Accuracy / Success Rate therefore remains almost unchanged after another session and continues to stay above the magical 90% mark 🏆
The CAC 40 moved very little today, while BTC traded sideways for much of the session. Gold, however, moved significantly higher and our position is now overall in profit. We are tightening the SL 🔑 here while slightly widening the TP ✅ at the same time. Alternatively, the position can already be closed in profit at the current level.
For our BTC position, we are tightening the TP ✅ slightly.

Another great session. Congratulations! 👏
We closed our AMD position 📸 from Monday deep in profit. Unfortunately, my position was already closed in pre-market - AMD subsequently opened at 459.81, meaning I missed around 1.5% of the additional move.
We also executed some very strong intraday trades again. These included more excellent NYSE Opening Trades with MU 📸 and TSLA 📸, a strong S&P 500 trade 📸 against the rebound attempt - where we actually should have closed at an even better - as well as a very strong FX trade with GBP/USD 📸.
Our oil position, however, moved further off-profit after the US and Iran once again exchanged strikes overnight. The US attacked Iranian military targets and maritime assets, while Iran said it responded with a “decisive operation” against US bases in the region, firing missiles at an American base in Jordan.
The renewed rise in oil prices provided additional support to the USD while further increasing inflation concerns. This combination has now weighed on both cryptos and precious metals. We have open positions that require position management.
In oil, we see some short-term overreaction at current levels and can go SHORT in WTI (again):

At the same time, we can buy the dip in Gold & BTC:

For the third day in a row, we have a completely perfect performance overview - at least in this part of our daily performance update.
One of our many flawless sessions, a 6/6 session 💎 (SA/SR = 100%), dropped out of the statistics and was replaced by last Tuesday’s exceptionally strong 7/7 session 💎 (SA/SR = 100%). Our 🔼 Signal Accuracy / Success Rate therefore barely changed.
All other positions visible here were also closed in profit ✅. They had already been fully closed at the start of today’s session.
Today’s session was less favorable for our CAC 40 position. On the positive side, however, the CAC 40 significantly outperformed global equity indices overall today. Our CAC 40 needs a bit more time. | 33 |
