Repost from MahaYog - Yoga 🔱 and Buddhism ☸️
Modern technology is increasingly entering the spiritual realm. This Buddha drone, invented in Japan, is designed to combine modern technology with an image of Amitabha Buddha (Raigo), apparently to enliven the practitioner's visualization 😄

| 12 | "The common faults of beginning Dharma practitioners:
First, thinking that you understand everything.
Second, wanting to gain experience and results quickly.
Third, wanting to practice everything straight away.
Fourth, not checking your motivation.
Fifth, trying to read many books but not seeing the important points of Dharma.
Sixth, trying to see the faults of other practitioners, of masters, books and so on."

| 16 | To believe your life is better than someone else is the highest form of arrogance. Because at the end of the day, no matter how much power or wealth someone commands, all must bow before Yama. | 431 |

| 18 | Vināyaka
(Ganapati) is a tantric Deva who is turned to when asking for or giving thanks for wealth, sex, and food. He is also a protector from adarma and sickness.
He is considered an emanation of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara.
This makes sense since Avalokiteshvara is primarily a Buddhist adaption of Rudra-Shiva, and Genesha (Vināyaka) is his son.
Often, an image is placed facing the entrance to a household or place of work or worship to both protect the place from evil but also for blessing to enter in.
In Japanese Shingon / Tendai , he is called Kangiten / 歓喜天 the god of bliss.
His mantra:
Sanskrit:
Oṃ hrīḥ gaḥ huṃ svāhā
Japanese:
(On kiri(ku) gyaku un sowaka) | 670 |
| 19 | In the Vedic / Buddhist depictions the multiple arms aren't always literally, though metaphysically present, they correspond to different divine attributes / functions and abilities of said deity or presentation of philosophical concepts that are associated with the deity. Sometimes seeing a mudra (hand sing) alone says what the message or blessing from the diety is. While a weapon or divine object may incorporate the ability of other Gods or meant to invoke an esoteric concept religiously and rituals while having an exoteric presentation of power to the lay person. | 384 |
| 20 | Vajrapani or Indra:
This is a reply to a question about Vajrapani and Śakra / Indra.
From the studies I have done and the traditions / transmissions I have received, Vajrapani is the more primal physical manifestation of Śakra who is the heavenly enlightened Kingly version of Indra.
With his highest enlightenment form being that of Vajradhara, who is an emanation or aspect of Dharmakāya.
It works as the three bodies or forms of the soul for Indra.
Nirmāṇakāya = Vajrapani / Dharmapala
Sambhogakāya = Śakra
Dharmakāya = Vajradhara
This reflects our own existence and three parts of the soul, the tripartite in the Indo-European context, and provides understanding and approach to all divinity and our own inner enlightenment / divine potential.
This is my understanding and practice. 🙏🏼
